I bought this TV to upgrade my old 32" 720p one. For the price this TV exceeds my expectations. The picture is great, but don't expect anything premium in terms of colors and frame rate. The speakers seem very loud and clear. The best way to describe it is a natural TV experience - nothing fancy but also nothing lacking.
I mostly use the TV to play console video games on and it works great after altering the display settings. Unfortunately setting the picture mode to Game Mode looks great, but each time you turn off the TV it disables Game Mode. So I suggest you altar Standard mode to your liking (I prefer cool color temperature with medium contrast). The TV will save individual settings for each input which is really nice. For example, I can set HDMI 1 for what looks nice for watching video and I can have settings for HDMI 3 that look nice for playing PS4 and it saves each picture settings individually.
As for the chromecast, it is a nice feature to have built in without paying extra and having to waste a HDMI slot. The wifi strength seems quite weak compared to other devices so I had to use my wifi repeater to get it to connect at all. Heavy streaming will sometimes disconnect, but using apps like Youtube seems to work fine. I can't really say if this is the TV itself, the chromecast, or just my local wifi.
This TV isn't exactly a smart TV. It has a chromecast but that is really separate from the TV itself. The USB port cannot play videos as expected. So just know this is a regular TV with a chromecast invisibly plugged in. Which is actually great for the price of $250 or less.
I mainly bought this TV because the low price and dimensions between the feet stands. It fits on a 30" wide table even though the screen is much larger. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a normal TV display with streaming functionality.

Yes, it has wifi in the Chromecast. Change your input to the Chromecast and you will need to download the app on your phone to connect it to wifi and stream media.
