Tom Selleck stars as General Dwight D. Eisenhower in the television film Ike: Countdown to D-Day. The film follows the General in the three months leading up to the decisive invasion that would turn the tide of World War II toward the Allied powers. The film opens with Winston Churchill (Ian Mune) appointing Eisenhower as the Supreme Allied Commander. Ike faces conflicts with British General Montgomery (Bruce Phillips), American General George Patton (Gerald McRaney), and French leader Charles de Gaulle (George Shevtsov). Eisenhower must balance these men's egos as he organizes the risky but necessary military maneuver.

Watched this one night on TV. Decided to get my own copy to watch whenever I want. Didn't really see an advantage for a bluray versionof this so went with DVD.

Probably my third favorite Christmas movie of all time behind "A Christmas Story" and "Die Hard". Retelling of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". If you're sick and tired of all the sappy holiday movies, try this for a change of pace.

I know the premise of these movies is not that great. I know they will not influnce cineman or advance Western civilization but, dang, are they fun to watch. Yeah, they're stupid and make no sense. Just mindless entertainment and, sometimes, that's good enough.

Not really sure how historically accurate this movie is but it will hold your attention and it's easy to see why George C. Scott won the Best Actor Award.

If you into this NOT expecting the Three Stooges of old, you might be pleasantly surprised. All three of the "Stooges" do a pretty good job of recreating Moe, Larry and Curly. It's kind of like an 'origins' story for the trio.
