Will the TV work if ROKU is not supported?
The television appears excellent for the money. However, I am concerned about purchasing the TV with the ROKU firmware. Will the TV still function properly if ROKU goes out of business and is no longer supported?
The TV should always function (whether or not Roku stays in business) since you are only accessing the Roku 'boot up' screen before going to your choice of cable, DVD, etc. you would only lose the Roku connected apps if the company ceased to exist.

Cannot wall mount,, how big of a base do I need to place this set?
The stand/base of the TV is less than 24 inches across and about a foot deep. You really wouldn't need too big of a stand for it.

Can you download Amazon instant video directly through the smart hub or do you need an amazon fire stick?
The TV is set up to use Amazon instant video, through Prime if you have it. The SMART button on the remote will give you the option for it.
