I'm more excited that I beat a scalper to this product than the thing itself, but I am still excited that I'm going to get one. I grew up on the majority of these games and it'll be awesome to be able to play the original Mario Kart with someone since it comes with two controllers.

There are Twitter accounts you can follow to get fairly quick notifications on these things. I think Wario64 and Nintendeals tend to be the best in this case. I personally was told by someone in a discord chat I frequent who probably found out that way.

Regardless of what everybody says about playing the game emulated, playing this on a actual snes control with hdmi support is a real throwback to the 90s.

But a real throwback to the 90's would not have included an HDMI cable. You'd be playing it with an A/V connection on a CRT TV that you would have to put on channel 3 if I remember correctly. THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT.

Will this console be preorder only or on the day of the release will they have some extra for customers who didn't get a chance to preorder?
There will be SNES Classics that big box stores will get just like with NES Classics, but I would brace myself to never see them in stock, again like the NES Classics. On the bright side, whenever the N64 Classic inevitably comes out, scalpers will likely lower their price for the SNES Classics that they cheated their way into getting to at least near the original $80 price if you just really really really want one and don't mind rewarding scalper behavior.
