Purchased for my not-at-all tech savvy mother for her birthday, she loves it! She needed something for basic tasks like email, browsing, MS office, and occasional Netflix, this is perfect for her. Touch screen already has her hooked, now she wants a new PC, with a touch screen... She keeps touching her PC screen only to be disappointed.
Setup was quick and easy, as was registering it with HP for warranty and support. Had to fully charge the battery before turning it on for the first time, then configured the wifi, updated the OS and installed additional software, which all took less time than showing her how to use it.
Impressive Specs: i5 7200u processor is a 2.5GHz hyper-threaded dual core with 4 threads, 12 PCI express lanes, impressive memory bandwidth of 32.1 Gb/s and benchmarks better than expected 50.1% @ UserBenchmark (My top of the line laptop i7-7700HQ benchmarks @ 74.1%).
Other thoughts: Picked it up in store... I was reluctant to accept it because it had large black boot prints on the box, someone had very obviously and literally been walking/stepping/standing on it at some point. Thankfully, HP's packaging is excellent, I could have used it as a trampoline without doing damage to the laptop: A++ to HP for their superior packaging!

The DVD itself: Comes in a standard jewel case... The film is presented in widescreen format, so it has the black bars at the top and bottom.
The special features:
"commentary by JJ Abrams" and others is interesting, you get to hear some good stories you wouldn't otherwise hear about the actors and the film.
"A new vision" is about production secrets and behind the scenes stuff, its really cool. They could make an entire series just about this stuff and I'd watch it, very fun and interesting.
The "Gag reel", they should seriously put this at the end of the film during the credits, like Jackie Chan movies, you will LOL at, and with, the actors and film crew.

The movie: As the first of the new Star Trek films based on TOS, I really liked it. The storyline was somewhat convoluted and confusing at times, some scenes seemed like they were "forced" into the film just to pay homage to the original cast and crew. The time spent on character development (while necessary for anyone new to the Star Trek universe and unfamiliar with the original characters), seemed to be a drag on the film since I was already familiar with the characters.
Overall, this film did an excellent job of laying the groundwork for all the other Star Trek films that have come out since.

Makes me wish I had a 25 disc DVD changer, so I could load the entire collection into it, set it to random, hit play and enjoy a TOS marathon without ever having to change a DVD.
I've seen some people complaining about the remastering of the series for this collection but I think it looks fantastic, they did an amazing job. Watching the series on my 4k TV, which upscales the 1080p video, is a real treat... It looks like it could have been filmed yesterday on the latest video equipment available...The images and video are crystal clear and therefore lack the grainy-ness that was inherent to videos made in the sixties, that lack of grain seems to be what the purest's are complaining about. I for one, do not miss the grain, this remastered collection of TOS is beautifully done.

Pros: Comes VERY well packaged... Arrived with a triangle shaped gouge in the front and center of the box about the size of a fist, most likely from a box smashing into it during transit, so I was immediately concerned it would have damage but the TV was so well packaged that everything was in perfect condition.
4k video looks fantastic, 1080p is equally flawless, and even streaming 720p videos and movies from you tube look incredible thanks to the upscaling feature integrated with the TV. Deep rich colors, powerful built in speakers that provide crystal clear sound, accessory inputs galore including multiple HDMI, USB, coaxial, Ethernet port and many more!
The "Smart" portion of this TV is well designed, intuitive and easy to navigate.
Cons: If there is a con, it's the remote... Using the arrow/navigation buttons to "type" things into search boxes for streaming video providers and web searches is tediously annoying and routinely results in my hitting one of the surrounding buttons that undoes whatever I've managed to type, forcing me to start over. LG really should incorporate some kind of mini keyboard into the remote, doing so would dramatically improve the overall experience.
Other Thoughts: The features and quality of the TV create a value that far exceeds the price, especially when it's on sale! Loved the first one so much, I purchased a second one as a wedding gift for my sister when she announced her engagement. They were super excited when it first arrived and sent me pics of them setting it up and thanking me profusely for the gift. It's now been about a month and they recently sent me a pic of them with the new TV in the background and a very simple text message: "<3 this TV!"

I purchased the first one when it was on sale for about half price and didn't have high expectations... It turned out to be a game changer. So much so, I purchased a second one. The first went to work, so I wouldn't have to constantly plug and unplug my phone from the charger at my desk. The ease of use and reliability/quality of the product impressed me so much I purchased a second one for my home. Set it on the pad to charge, pick it up to use the phone, set it back down to continue charging or keep charged. With the regularity that this product goes on sale, I'll probably buy a third just to have a spare for traveling.
Catch it on sale if possible but even at full price, you will not be disappointed!
Other thoughts:
1. Product is NOT as pictured; the base is slanted like a parrallelogram instead of a perfect square - This fact has no bearing on how the product functions but I feel it's worth mentioning.
2. The power connection is a mini USB and not a round power plug (like those on laptops) shown in product picture - The mini USB is nice since anyone who owns a non-Apple smartphone is likely to have a charger and cord that's compatible with the base (Pad does come with a fast charge plug and mini USB cord but having spares is nice).
3. Charging pad will work with a wall plug that's not "Fast Charge" (like a dollar store cube with folding wall prongs) but the charging light will flash red while your device charges. With a "Fast Charge" plug, connected via mini USB, the light will flash blue while charging and be solid blue when fully charged.

Pros: Excellent read/write speeds, comes well packaged and includes migration software, good warranty in case you should have an issue.
Cons: MSRP is pricey... Wait for it to be on sale.
Other Thoughts: Samsung's the top brand for SSD technology. I have a pair of these running in RAID 1 as mirrored drives... IF one of them should fail in the next five years, I can send it back and get a new one without losing my data and being without my PC. But with Samsung's reliability, I'm not at all worried that I'll need to use the warranty. Your drive is the brain of your PC, don't go cheap and buy another brand to save a few dollars, buy the Samsung, you'll be glad you did.

Pro's: Large capacity, uniform size and shape with all other Cruzer Glide sticks, retractable port that locks when open or closed.
Con's: It's MSRP is too high... Wait for them to go on sale for 1/3 the price. It would be nice if each one came with a cheap and simple white paper sticker to use as a label.
Other thoughts: I own almost 2 dozen Cruzer Glide USB's, in all the different GB sizes they offer. I've NEVER had one fail and have used them for many years. SanDisk prints the GB size of the USB drive on the back, which is the only good place to put your own label... A necessity when you have as many as I do.

I have the wireless charger and it has done great and was charging fine this morning. I got home and now when I plug it up it has a "flashing pink" to it. Does anyone know what this is and how I can fix it? Thank you

In my experience, the flashing pink/red light is nothing to be concerned about... so long as it's still charging your device that is! I've found two reasons that happens: 1, my phone is already fully charged. 2, I've got the USB power cord plugged into a cheap charging cube, rather than the one that came with either the charger or my phone. Either way, I believe it to signify that the charger is not charging at maximum capacity, 1 to keep from frying an already charged battery, 2 because of being powered by an inferior power source.
