A little disappointing

I purchased this computer for web surfing and basic word processing and spreadsheet work- nothing complex. I found the machine to be slow and periodically froze or lagged for a few seconds. I updated the OS and all drivers. I could not solve the issue. I wound up giving the computer to my young niece since I could not tolerate the lag.
The machine is an I3. I purchased an I7 version from Dell and have had no problems.
my suggestion would be to spend the extra money for the I5 or I7 processor and stay away from the Celeron (I3)
