Twilight of the Thunder God is my favorite Amon Amarth record. Johan Hegg's classic growl sounds great, especially on the title track. Guardians of Asgard and Free Will Sacrifice are also stellar tracks. If you enjoy Amon Amarth, buy this album.
The band's tenth studio album doesn't disappoint. The kings of Viking death metal return with a brilliant concept record telling a captivating story. First Kill is one of the band's best songs and with Hegg's growling vocals, this makes for a top 3 Amon Amarth album, for sure!
Kobra and the Lotus are back with their fourth studio album. This is the band's most melodic record and the production is excellent. Kobra Paige, lead singer, is one of the greatest vocalists I have ever heard. Prevail 1 is a must have for any fan of melodic heavy metal!
Avatar, my favorite new band, released a masterpiece with Feathers and Flesh. Johannes' vocals and song writing are amazing throughout this concept record. With six albums to date, this is Avatar's finest work.
The greatest metal record of all time! This newly remastered cd sounds great and the bonus discs are worth the price alone. The third disc contains a live concert with an incredible setlist. A must buy!
Unleashed in the East, is undoubtedly one of the greatest live records ever recorded. Released in 79' this record captures Rob Halford's vocals perfectly. He has never sounded better. This record captures the earlier Priest era just as their popularity was exploding worldwide. A must have!
Point of Entry, though not as heavy as other albums, is certainly one of their best. It contains the classic track, Heading out to the Highway, but also has some deep cut gems, such as Solar Angels and Desert Plains. It's "radio friendly", mainstream rock, but classic Priest, nonetheless.
WASP's album, The Crimson Idol, is perhaps their greatest record in their vast catalog. It's a concept album and a masterpiece. Blackie Lawless' vocals are amazing and this year the band will tour the world celebrating the anniversary of this record.
Battle Cry shows why Judas Priest is best seen live. Rob Halford's vocals are excellent and with a fresh setlist, and great production, this is a must buy for Priest fans.
