I got this TV for my bedroom to go along with my PS Pro. Absolutely beautiful design and a great panel. Great for HDR gaming too. The sound is pretty good too. Only thing that isn't great is the brightness, but my bedroom is pitch black with blackout curtains, so that's not an issue at all.

I got the console day one since I wanted to have my 4K Horizon: Zero Dawn machine. Was worth every penny for that alone, but it is nice to have a console that runs games at higher resolutions/textures. The new Boost Mode makes games that didn't used to run at a great framerate on the base PS4 run just fine now, so it's a great machine overall.

The openness of the game is really emphasized throughout your playthrough. You can pretty much approach any situation however you want, the devs don't hold your hand. The story suffers from this however, and I think they spent so much time working on the size of the game that they didn't have enough time to focus on the typical Zelda experience with the dungeons. There isn't enough of them, in my opinion. Weapon durability sucks too. Still a masterpiece of a game, though.
Woken from a 100-year slumber, Link must explore the wilds to regain his lost memories and save Hyrule. This bundle includes the game, a Nintendo Switch™ Sheikah Slate Carrying Case, a Sheikah Eye Collectible Coin, the Relic of Hyrule: Calamity Ganon Tapestry and Weather-Worn Map, a Sound Selection CD, and the Master Sword of Resurrection statue.

Breath of the Wild gives me mixed feelings. I quite enjoyed my time with the game, and love that I can play it on my TV or on the go. It is a great game that has a number of subtle details that shows you how much the developers put into it. While it is a great game in every sense of the word, it isn't necessarily an incredible Zelda game. The openness of the game retracts from the story, and I do believe the Zelda formula suffers from it in the end. There are only 5 real dungeons in the game, and they are painfully short. Ideally, I would have liked a mix of the dungeons they had in this game and the ones we are typically used to. Weapon durability is a real drag too, especially when you get the Master Sword (if you choose to actually get it, the game doesn't require you to or even tell you how and when to do it, you just have to stumble upon it yourself). Basically, the Master Sword is held to the same weapon durability mechanic and has to be recharged when you use it too much, which doesn't make sense when you consider how it is the blade of evil's bane and all that. The durability mechanic really ruins a lot of the experience for me. Like I said though, the game is a masterpiece, but not a Zelda masterpiece. I still loved it, but a couple of things really mess with my experience overall.

The Nintendo Switch is a console that works the way it's intended to. I love being able to yank it out of the dock and take it on the go. The device puts up impressive graphics for the cost/design/size. But you can tell the investors at Nintendo pushed this thing out too early to meet the end of the fiscal quarter. Money talks, and that's why this device released with only a handful of games, no real online system, a lack of basic features, and in basically a Beta state. I do enjoy it, but right now it's just my $300 Zelda machine. Which I understood when I got it, but it could have used 6 more months in the oven.

Sun/Moon really knock it out of the park in terms of putting a little bit of fresh material into a series. I enjoy the approach to having trials instead of gyms this time around, as well as the whole Alola/Z moves aspect of the game. A real fun experience, especially on the go.

I enjoyed my time with FFXV, but you can tell it is an incomplete game. It was in a state of limbo for years and I suppose it had to be released when it did, but another 6 months to a year really could have made the game shine. Missing cutscenes really make it hard to figure out what is going on in the story, and you can tell a huge chunk of stuff got cut out from the final product of the game. It was overly ambitious for the amount of time the devs had to finish it. Still, I enjoyed my time with it as well as the bond between Noctis and his crew. A fun experience overall.

A game almost 10 years in the making, The Last Guardian has finally come out. It really is a blast to play overall. Fans of Ueda's previous games will enjoy the familiar loneliness one feels as he plays through the game. The game does have a number of rough frame drops, especially in the open. You can tell the game engine is chugging hard. But underneath the performance issues is a very touching story of a boy and his connection to the beast that is controlled throughout the game. A very enjoyable experience when it's all said and done.

I bought my Xbox One for Halo but that ended up being a bit of a flop. Luckily, there's still Gears and Forza. This game is a masterpiece racer game. Looks absolutely gorgeous as well. Although there isn't much of a story in the game, it's really a blast to have your own racing playground to just mess around in.

"Wow" is really the only way to sum up this game. It's a ride from beginning to end, and I find myself wanting to go back to it just to run around and hunt robot dinos. It's an absolute blast to play and the entire experience is just so well refined and polished. You wouldn't believe the same dev that put out the clunky, heavy controlled Killzone series would make an open RPG and knock it out of the park the first go-around. An absolute must-have for any PS4 owner.
