i bought this for my dad on father's day (i have at&t at home so i don't us it everyday) it works great. easy to set up and no slowdowns as of yet. the hardest part was calling time warner...not saying it's hard, lol, it was just the hardest part of the set up.
so, paid $60 to save my dad $96 per year. only downside is that the rented modem got replaced for "free" if anything happened. this one will have to be purchased again if it gets zapped.

i bought the brv-1s about two months prior to purchasing this unit. two factors made that decision:
1.the charge 2 was $50 dollars more
2. three best buys i visited had non-working demos of the charge two.
when the price dropped to 119 i had to do some research and trust those reviewing the unit. all in all, i'm impressed. this blows the brv out of the water in sound and loudness. great bass and clarity for a unit so small - i thought the brv1s was impressive for it's size too. i'm more of a mid-tone fan with bass being just as important, but clean bass is better than loud mud. treble fatigues me quickly and the charge isn't as tinny as the monster and UE sounded. this has become my work out buddy now!

i bought this mainly for yardwork since sometimes the cords get in the way with analog iems. i was suprized how well they sound and how good the noise isolation is (this differs from person to person, the mid ones fit perfectly).
the bass was pretty good and decent midtones. they don't sound as well nor get as loud as analogs, but the lack of wires getting caught as i'm weed eating is worth it. besides, i don't turn them up all the way or i'd be negating the sound dampening that i was looking for to keep my ears protected from the sound of the weed eater.
great purchase in my opinion.

good idea, bad execution

first of all nix the 10hr use. it's like saying you car can get a weeks of use on a tank of gas... sure, as long as you're not using it. you can get 10hrs ONLY if you use the seagate app and allow for download and play so the drive can "rest" while you watch. remote caching helps when you use a third part player, but you'll be luck to pull 5hrs of streaming. direct streaming using smb or dlna are just as bad at around 4hours of direct streaming (not using seagate's app).
so real use is far under the estimated time since it's at standby it's not doing anying. using it drains it rather quickly.
i'm about to request a second RMA right now. first had issues where the drive started to not connect via usb 3, but usb 2 was fine (using a microusb cable). then the battery started acting up and change from 20 to full in 5 minutes. i reset/reformatted everything and no change.
the replacement came quickly, but it's having a problem too. it's always after a full charge i get the "flashing green light of death." it's not really dead (yet) it just won't shut off. you hear the drive spin then fail constantly... while it's supposed to be off. plugging a usb3 cable in a computer and it says unrecognized device. putting it on a microusb 2 cable and it starts acting as it should again. it's a easy fix for now, but a sign of bad things to come.
if they advertized 5hrs of use, i'd be happy. if i didn't have to do two rma's at my cost for shipping, i'd be happy. but as it stands i'll stay away from seagate when purchasing drives for work and home... i should have remembered the deathstar.

don't get it unless you're willing to tweak

the governor of the device tell it to ramp to full speed on both the gpu and cpu causing massive batter drain when browsing or doing anything with excessive touching.
installing a modded kernel will allow for tweaking the gov settings to underclock the gpu and to set the hispeed to about 500Mhz. this won't affect it ramping up for when it needs the power (except for the gpu, you'll need to redo the setting if need the full speed).
doing this i get around 8hrs of on screen time while browsing. video watching (netflix and local) and reading i get around 10hrs. it's still pretty bad for something with such a huge battery though.
so until google/htc fixes the gov the average user can expect around 4-5hrs of we browsing. i will not recommend it to anyone who doesn't like tweaking. if you enjoy modding then it's one heck of a device.

Maybe I'm just getting old but these GTA clone tyope games bore me pretty quickly. $25 for 8+ hours of entertainment is a heck of a deal, just don't think these game genre really appeal to me anymore. I didn't get to use it much as I got it as a present for my wife. The brief time i spent setting it up I found it pretty responsive. According to other sites the apu is good enough for mid range gaming, but I never got that far to test it. My wife forced me to return it sine it had no backlit keyboard. For $400 it was worth having a brand new laptop sans backlight, but since it was a gift and not her money I had to shell out another 200 for a decent laptop with the backlight.

for six bucks it's hard to pass up, but be aware you're getting a cheaply made product. i bought two, and one had to have the plastic tip broken off to fit into my usb ports... yes, the plug is plastic where the higher quality ones are metal.
it's not as rugged and i wouldn't trust any sensitive data on it, but for an emergency repair disk (installed F4BCD) and one for just general transfers it's not a bad product.

can you copy files that are on the wireless plus to your computer? can you delete files that are on the wireless plus?
yes, either using smb share or just using the seagate app (or access it's web interface).
