After watching the continuing struggles of the band of rebels led by the 'new' Spartacus (Liam McIntyre), this final chapter sets up what is a valiant struggle and the final chapter in a main character's story that was simply born out of love, blood and revenge!
This captivating and compelling action-adventure spectacle chronicles the saga of a heroic Thracian gladiator's rebellion against his Roman captors. In the Season 3 premiere, Spartacus (Liam McIntyre) sees his army grow and deal a serious blow to Rome's fighting legions, which leads Roman officials to seek empire-saving funding from the aristocratic and ambitious Marcus Crassus (Simon Merrells). Troubles continue to thwart Spartacus and his rebels, however, as they deal with food shortages, shelter problems, betrayals, mounting casualties and a spy in their midst. In the end, Spartacus and his outnumbered rebel force prepare for what could be their final, pivotal battle against the Romans.
While I was deeply saddened at the passing Andy Whitfield, I was a little apprehensive about the idea of someone else playing his role. But when this second (third if you include Gods of the Arena) season came out and I was introduced to Liam McIntyre in Andy's role as Spartacus I was pleasantly surprised how well he fit the role.
If you enjoyed s1 of Spartacus then I'd recommend continuing the saga and see of the rebellion can conquer Rome.
As a long time fan of Bryan Danielson, I knew I had to purchase this dvd about his career in the WWE. I said YES! to the YES Movement along time ago when he was an American Dragon and anyone who's followed his career and needs to know his whole story this is a good way to do it!
