Not enough bass
on August 23, 2016

I bought this to replace an older soundbar that was not bluetooth, but, has a subwoofer. This BOSE soundbar has an integrated subwoofer, which I know does not deliver bass sound as well as a separate one. This hooked up easily and works well, but, it just does not offer enough bass sound, no matter how many times you try to turn it up. The dialogue is nice and clear, and can be enhanced by the "dialogue" option, which actually lowers the bass so background music is less prominent. But, the overall sound quality was not rich enough for me, and much less than I expected from a BOSE product. However, when I paired it w/my IPhone to listen to music, the music was very nice. It just didn't suit my main purpose thought, so, returned it. I think it would work very well in a bedroom environment, because you don't want bass booming around in the walls in bwtn bedrooms. You can keep the volume down enough not to travel, but, it will still be clear enough to hear very well.

Wouldn't power on
on August 22, 2016

Set up not difficult. The time consuming part was getting it unboxed. Then, it just wouldn't power on, I made sure the batter was in correctly, I even changed out the battery. I unplugged and re-plugged, I switched power cords from subwoofer to sound bar as the subwoofer was receiving power just fine. I tried turning it on, manually, from the side of the soundbar instead of using the remote, no luck. Samsung Tech Support just wanted me to do all that same checking all over again. They determined the soundbar was the problem and told me they would set up a service call, but, I would have to take the unit in to the service provider. If I was going to have to lug it to a service provider, why wouldn't I just box it right back up and return it? I will be returning it. They, obviously, have very poor QC in their manufacturing plant.

I'm enjoying it

Verified Purchase:Yes
I've had this for almost 3 months and am really enjoying it. Getting used to Android has been my only challenge, but, having the Galaxy 3G and this tablet has made that easier. Still trying to figure out best internet search enging to use on it. They all work okay, just haven't warmed up to one or the other yet. I love the S Notes program, though not as intuitive as I'd prefer. I still do not feel at ease with any of the Office suites available, and that is important to me. I love the screen quality. If you don't want to do personal internet browsing or chores on your work computer, this is the way to go. Samsung really needs to get on board with increasing the number and variety of accessories for their products, as are available for IPhone and Tablets.
What's great about it: Functionality and long battery life
What's not so great: Have to tether it to phone when no WiFi available

Plus, you can easily add another compatible mouse or keyboard-without the hassle of multiple USB receivers. With Logitech Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity, you'll enjoy virtually no signal loss from up to 33 ft away. Good Value.

It's fine. I would have given it 5 stars if it sat a little higher. The little tilt legs on the back do help. But, over all I wish is was raised up a bit more overall. It was a good deal at 50% off.
What's great about it: That it has a usb receiver. Unclutters desk of older receiver that sat on my desk, and was the size of a mouse.
What's not so great: Wish it was on a thicker base to raise it up a bit more.

Works just fine.

My laptop is a 15" screen size and sits on this cooling pad just dandy. It overhangs it a bit on the sides, but, I believe that was intended. It sits solidly on it, doesn't slide around or wobble. The rise above table top is slight, as is the angle of the slope. I find both the height and slope slight enough to increase comfort of keypad use when sitting at a table, as well as when I'm on the couch using it a top a lapdesk. When the fan is plugged into a USB it runs. It's a little noisy, but, eventually you become less aware of it. I don't feel the need to use it most of the time, but, when I do it's a ready option for me. I'm pleased w/ the unit.

Limited instructions
By factor65
Came with limited instructions. i had to figure things out on my own.i hooked things up like they said and was getting sound delays. finally i hooked up the optical cable to my cable top box and things got better. (Not in instructions) still on some channels i had delays. Finally i hooked up HDMI cables from cable box to sound bar and another from the sound bar to TV. Problem solved!! Nothing in instructions about using HDMI cables. Samsung could save people a lot of trouble and time with better instructions.
