Just got this on 5/19/2016 so far its fine! Nice picture blacks look good color good. I didn't know much about this model not much info but was told look at 810c model its the same and it does what I am looking for without spending to much happy so far will update in a week or so if problems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

just not a good tv

Tried 2 of these and just not a good tv!! Been buying sony for over 30 years after calibration still not a good enough picture I have 2 older sony tvs that have a better picture tried everything i could to get a decent picture not with this tv colors are good but that's about it and there is to much light bleed in corners in nighttime viewing and the android apps are buggy!! Got a Samsung 55 curved tv and it blows this tv away been big on sony but not with this tv!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Boy not a good tv!! Did the update was so excited then I saw the picture just dull in 4k and anything else there was a bad flashlight affect in the lower left corner I know TVS and how to set them up tried everything just going to get A Samsung!

boy been a sony fan only but my sony player couldn't stream anymore and the picture was getting worse! Replaced it with a sony 3200 at first liked it but the streaming problems started to happen and the Blu-ray picture was okay I still play lots of Dvds and the picture was bad for that took it back tried another one same thing okay its time to get away from sony! Enter this Panasonic and I am happy very good Blu-ray very good Dvd player picture on both very good and the streaming is also very good doesn't have all the apps Sony has but its got the ones I use happy and my wife is happy if your upset with Sony like I am go get this player.
What's great about it: apps i need! streaming is good fast. very good picture on blu-ray dvd
What's not so great: nothing yet
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sorry you don't know much about TVS but I worked in many retail stores And Sony does not make tvs like they used to!! I have sony samsung and LGS in my house and the Samsung blows sony out of the water and this Sony tv is not good tried 2 of them so sorry to tell you!

any tech savvy person will tell you that Android or android based TV devices like amazon fire tv is the only way to go . When Roku allows a kodi app to be developed than this will be the device to get until then ...Amazon Fire tv 4K is $30 LESS and is still faster

this is the 810 that's what i was told by best buy I bought it and its good they just used the 800 for smaller screen and to make it look like a new model so its the 810 is what i was told by sony as well.

I posted a 5 star review to soon after a few days I am returning. The picture is to dark and the dimming feature is annoying and there is a very bad flashlight on the right side and wireless is only 2.4 and signal is week knew it was to good to be true.

I Love my Roku and thought this would be great in a side room with the Roku built in, but when I turn it on I have to select the Cable input every time I want to watch Comcast even if it was last thing I was watching. normal input based TV's would stay on the last input it was on. and forget using the Logitech remote to setup and activity. macros are great, but it's not what I wanted.
on a good note, the Wifi was easy to setup, 4K looked great as it should even for a cheap TV, sounds was meh.

In settings there is a way to change so the tv when you shut it off goes to last thing you watched! I have an older model but i am sure its the same!

It does turn off.

If your Tv has a USB port plug it in there and it goes on when you turn the TV on and off when you turn tv off.
