I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this movie but figured it was worth a flier based on the low price tag. I was further sold when research indicated that this title had a vampire version of the Joker. So I had to see that as a comic fan ; ) In any case the movie was similar to other animated comic movies, pacing could be a bit of an issue but it wasn't too bad. Some cool animation, a little darker than average.

While I have somewhat mixed feelings on Disney Infinity and some of the gameplay in 2.0, I have to say as a comic fan the Spider-Man playset is a must. The fact that the Nova figure accompanies it is also a nice bonus. While the price tag might feel a little prohibitive, keep in mind that in the realm of Disney Infinity, you are essentially buying a new game (Spider-Man playset) and two figures. Not bad for the price. I admit to some bias for Spider-Man though.

As stated in the summary, the gameplay in this title harkens to Assassin's Creed, however the Tolkien-inspired setting is a welcome addition. Rock solid visuals and mechanics, very well-executed stealth, and plenty for the gore-enthusiast. I wasn't sure I would enjoy this game and still find the control scheme a little daunting, but I have to say I was pleasantly and thoroughly pleased with the early results in this game. I can sit down and kill a fair amount of time just in a small area completing any number of side tasks. Very fun.

A Good value if you're interested in the game

My daughter and I pick up every new iteration of the Skylanders franchise and Trap Team is no exception. The gimmick of trapping bad guys in cystals and the process of seeing them get pulled into a vortex and working their way into the crystal on the figure base is very well done. As for the Dark Edition, at 100 (vs. 75), you get a display for your crystals, limited edition figures (including one additional one, which would be a value of 15), and three crystals (vs 2 in the regular edition, a value of 6). So you get very tangible benefits of a cool additional figure and crystal worth 21 as well as a poster and crystal stand. To me, if you're going to make the invest it's worth it, especially since the standard items will be readily available in the re-sale market whereas the Dark Edition will most likely not.

My wife purchased this item to accompany her Ipad on a business trip. This was done due to the fact that she expected to do a lot of typing but didn't want to do so on the Ipad's virtual keyboard. To that end, the unit works well. I should point out that the same unit is used at my employer and has served us well. The keyboard when combined with the Ipad is a tad heavy but not a deal breaker. It can also be a little unintuitive when transitioning back and forth between typing and using the touch screen, which will be necessary.

Although I'm not a fan of the various Geek Squad services and their cost, my wife felt strongly that we should let the store apply it and they honestly did a good job of it. This is a PS3 exclusive that has been out for some time but holds up well and did not receive much fanfare outside of critics. You command a small army/unit against those that oppose them, using sort of a mix between turn-based strategy and tactical games. Different units have different strengths, weaknesses, and so on. It's hard to compare to anything else but I'm a person who really enjoyed games like Final Fantasy Tactics, Disgaea, and so on. Highly recommended.

Although I indicate that the challenging gameplay is "excellent," I only rate it as such due to a lack of a better scale. The challenge is excellent for those who like extreme challenge, a la Ninja Gaiden 2, Demon Souls, Dark Souls, etc., but it's not my cup of tea. Visually I've heard many regard this game highly. Beyond that, this felt like more of the same from this series, and definitely the weakest entry that began it's life on consoles, more on par with the PSP titles, and perhaps a notch below those.

I got this game for my daughter (5) after getting the UDraw game tablet for just 5 bucks. I wanted her to have variety for the device, I love Marvel, and wanted to introduce her to the same. I have to say, even by parent with kid standards, the dialogue is extremely corny, horrible/boring characters, and worst of all the game just does NOT control well on the tablet. Might be a little better for a kid who is a little older but I wouldn't bet on it.
