This Samsung TV has a beautiful picture. The new HDR technology is very impressive. After I purchased the Samsung, I read about the "Magic Zoom" feature on the LG. Since my husband is very near-sighted, the magic zoom feature seemed to be the answer to his difficulty in reading sub-titles and program descriptions because they were too small for him to see comfortably. With the zoom/focus feature, you can move a virtual magnifying box to any portion of the screen that you want to magnify and keep it there until you are finished reading it. It is easily controlled from the remote. We returned the Samsung and switched to the LG model 65SJ9500. My husband is thrilled to have a virtual magnifying glass for the screen!

This Blu-ray player has an excellent picture and the sound is also good. It says that it "up-converts" a DVD to improve the quality. I wanted to improve the play-back on some older DVD's that I had recorded on a DVD player/recorder. I compared the quality of the picture on my old DVD player and this unit. This player definitely had a better-quality picture for the same DVD. I am very happy with the improved quality.

Do you ever have trouble reading things on the screen such as sub-titles or program descriptions and you wish that the letters were bigger? Then this is the TV for you! It has a zoom and focus feature that lets you enlarge any part of the screen whenever you want and for however long you want. This feature is very easy to use on the remote control. Also the picture is very crisp and clear and awesome. The sound is good too. All around a great TV with a sight aid that can make all the difference!

Will this bluray player work on a 1080p tv?
I'm using it on a 4K TV, so I'm not positive. The specs say "Max video resolution 2160P." You could call Panasonic at 800-211-7262 and ask them. I have called them before with pre-sale questions and always found them to be helpful. This player is excellent quality and the remote is very user-friendly. I'm very happy with my purchase.
