Great product; setup could have been better

I've been using Velop for a few weeks, and overall I am very pleased. I work from home, so bandwidth and speed are critical. Communication between nodes was problematic during setup, so I ultimately hardwired each node to ethernet (one on each floor). With three nodes hardwired coverage is very good and network speed has improved significantly vs my old router/repeater configuration.
The initial setup was not as easy as promised and required a lengthy call with Linksys support and multiple workarounds (trying different nodes as the parent and upgrades to the firmware prior to setting up each node). This and the spotty communication between nodes are the primary reason for a 4-star rather than 5-star review.
I do like the router app and would also prefer a more robust web UI than is provided. Ultimately, I'm glad I made the investment and would recommend this product.

Excellent home lighting automation

I'm still in the process of installing Caseta dimmers throughout my home, but I'm glad I've made the investment. The hub setup was problematic and required tech support to resolve. However, once resolved the system has performed flawlessly. The dimmers are relatively easy to install and connect easily to the Caseta bridge. The ability to use Homekit's rooms and scenes with Siri integration is a nice plus (that is, when Siri correctly interprets your instruction). Overall very pleased. My neighbors have been so impressed that they have decided to add Caseta to their homes as well.

Although the setup wasn't quite as intuitive as the Link, the startup and shutdown macros aloe much better control. The eight device limitation given today's smart homes and connected devices is disappointing. However, the hub connected flawlessly with Lutron Caseta and Nest products. 4 stars due to lack of HomeKit and Siri integration.
