A little quiet and outdated

Got the thing on sale for $40. That was good value, but the speaker is a little quiet (not much louder than the speakers on my laptop or the iPhone 7+). Also, the app that goes with the speaker is no longer available, making the thing feel especailly outdated. The Bluetooth connection can be a bit unreliable, but works most of the time. The redeeming point is the design, which is better in real life than in pictures.

Get a reliable portrait lens for your NEX camera with this Sony 50mm lens. It has a fast aperture of f/1.8 for solid performance under low-light conditions, and it can get in close to your subject — up to 1.5 feet. Add a 49mm filter to your Sony 50mm lens for lens protection and polarization effects.

This is a good lens, but you must know what you are getting into. The focus WILL be slow and MIGHT fail entirely, at least on my NEX-5R. Still, picture quality is great and the bokeh is beautiful. Definitely buy the APS-C OSS version for APS-C cameras or I guess one of the Zeiss ones for the full-frame ones. For my budget, though, this is fine.
