Could not get these to work

I could not get this wireless kit to work in my system. I have a Emotiva UMC-1 processor leading to 2 Epik Empire subs. I was hoping to use these to locate the subs in the corner of the room, but I could not get them to work. The subs (and rocketfish receiver) were within line of sight and range of the rocket fish transmitters, but they never received a signal. Back they went. I am sure they may work for other systems.

I bought this as an extra TV and one to go in the outdoor cabana for football parties. Not a smart TV, but a chromecast dongle costs $30. I did a lot fo reserch and found this to be the best value picture quality wise.
