A film that can't easily suspend your disbelief

The Man With The Golden Gun may not have aged very gracefully, but it's still, in my opinion, one of the better Bonds. Fun to see Clifton James return as the redneck sherif, and the jump flip sequence was done in one take!

What's great about it: Howzabout Christopher Lee's turn as Scaramanga? The entire climax is a feverish delight
What's not so great: Moore doesn't look entirely comfortable busting out judo moves

The weakest James Bond entry of the series

Pretty bad reputation among Bond fans. There's no doubt at all that the movie was meant to cash in on the science fiction craze that was sweeping the world in the wake of Star Wars mania and the Bond producers obviously wanted a piece of that potentially lucrative pie. The results are pretty mixed, but as hokey as the film is, it isn't completely without merit or its own off-key charm

What's great about it: You can't take a lick of it very seriously but that's half the fun
What's not so great: Horrible jokes, bad puns, and some hammy acting from Moore in the lead

Feels like a hybrid of earlier Bond films.

Brosnan has slipped quite comfortably into the role of Bond by this third film, arming himself with sly quips and killer reflexes -- not to mention a pretty high tolerance for throwing himself off of buildings and ledges. While I don't buy Denise Richards as a nuclear physicist for a minute (or her horrible name), Sophie Marceau isn't a particularly menacing villain either. To make matters worse, M (now played by Judi Dench) is kidnapped for no real reason other than to up the stakes a little bit and the charismatic Robert Carlyle is given nothing to do as the impervious Renard.

What's great about it: Brosnan, arguably a Bond just as beloved as Connery
What's not so great: Pales in comparison to Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies.

Good not great; Dalton's swan song

Licence to Kill is a real anomaly in the Bond pantheon; it's nasty and vicious, and seems to point the way for more violence in the coming Bond films. But it lacks the scope and world threat that are so key to a true Bondian film experience. The acting is first rate (Robert Davi, Carrie Lowell), but excellent acting (Wayne Newton as the TV preacher) doesn't substitute for star quality, and Dalton never wears the Bond image. Worthwhile, but ultimately, not a Bond film.

What's great about it: The nastiest, meanest Bond to come along in the series
What's not so great: Dalton's certainly the best actor to attempt Bond - but he's the wrong type.

`Homo Erraticus' (The Wondering Man) is a remarkable piece of work: original, lyrical, intelligent, thoughtful, musically sophisticated with excellent sound and production values, a storyboard weaving together many narrative strands to entertain and delight.

This release compiles all 23 episodes from the fourth season of Castle. This run of shows finds Beckett getting closer to the truth about her mother's death, as Castle grows more protective of her.

One of the most enjoyable series on TV

What can I say, this is one television series that has it all! Romance, suspense, action, adventure, and family! And the dialogue is smart and original. The plot twists fresh and often totally unexpected. Beckett and Castle are two beautiful people with a few scars and flaws that makes them believably human. (Like the play on names, too.)

A must for Led Zeppelin fans

In 1969, Led Zeppelin hit it big with their first two groundbreaking albums, which both remain landmarks in the history of rock music and laid the foundation for all hard rock and heavy metal to follow. But with the release of LED ZEPPELIN III in 1970, it showed that the band had more than just blues-inflected rock in their musical veins. In my opinion, this is the definitive Led Zeppelin album; it's certainly their most creative, thoughtful, and introspective LP.

This album is a prime example of why Bonham, Jones, Page, & Plant are legends in the Rock & Roll industry. It has everything a R & R fan could possibly want. A bluesy feel, tight Guitar riffs, solos from the soul, well constructed songs, layers of music, & passionate vocals. For me the true cohesion comes from the rythym section. Bonham's drums drives the band ever forward while JPJones is ethereal on the keyboards & perfect on the bass Guitar. There are no duds on this their Sophmore album.

I have listened to these albums on vinyl in there original release all my life. But I have never heard them sound like this! Every subtle nuance is crystal clear and isolated it's own bubble while vibrating in the same cloud as all of the other beautiful noises. Truly one of the best remastering undertakings that I've ever heard. I used to showcase my high end audio analogue system with the original "Since I've been Loving You." But This new version exposes all of the greatness of my stereo ten times more. It just goes to show how important the quality of the source material is!

The grand wizard of classic rock

An excellent overview of the band's career, especially given the unevenness of some of their albums. Ronnie James Dio honed his metal chops singing lead in both Rainbow and Black Sabbath, and his own band is sort of a reflection of both: the sinister, medievally gothic elegance of the former, and the crushingly heavy, doom-laden riffs of the latter. That combination, plus solid songwriting, made Dio's best work some of the most invigorating British metal of the '80s, and those qualities are best concentrated here.
