Despite the Hell's Kitchen DVDs seeming to be straight from TV to DVD, it's the same game being played! Gordon whipping these chefs into shape, and trying to see who is the best to win the prize. If you love cooking, you will like this show. These DVDs are uncensored, so maybe the younger aspiring chefs may want to avoid, due to the potty mouths. But it's all due to passion in the end. And if you have a passion for cooking and competition, you'll have a passion for Hell's Kitchen.

Once again, a number of chefs are competing for a big prize, and are stuck in Hell's Kitchen, and Gordon's carrying the pitchfork! If you enjoy cooking competitions, you'll like this one. Varying challenges and you actually learn something as you continue to watch each season. I believe this one did actually have Extras. It seemed more like rolling footage of the competing chefs talking and cracking up than anything else. It is entertaining (cause these are uncensored, so these competing chefs don't hold their tongues!) but sometimes, the extras seem a big too 'Big Brother' ish and can be a bit long and tedious. But that's just a minor quip of my opinion (it may be your cup of tea!) But if you love cooking and competition, this doesn't disappoint.

I loved this show when it was on TV, so I was happy to see a dvd released including some of the episodes. I actually thought it would be longer than it actually was, and I was anticipating maybe some extras. Like goof ups or the cast making themselves laugh in between takes. But other than that, it packs a lot of laughs with a delightful cast! I'd definitely get more, but would love to see extras next time.

Overall, despite the minor flaws (seems they nicked it from TV and slapped it onto the DVD, as opposed to enhancing the quality-and needed more bonuses), but it's Hell's Kitchen! It's entertaining and anyone inspiring to become a chef would probably get inspired along the way!
