would not work with my smart TV

We had to buy your service plan to fix there problem with the NETGEAR Wireless-AC Dual-Band Gigabit Router to work with our smart TV. We have had to call 3 times already to get this problem resolved so far. It keeps recurring. Hopefully this time it is right. I do not think we should have had to pay a $99 fee to get my tv's to work, when I bought this router with the expectations that it would work with all my devices. One of my TV's is only 1 year old.
