This is really a well build fan and may be right for you. It has 3 speeds however the low speed is not low enough. Even at low speed it moves a lot of air and is therefore not quiet. This may not be a problem but if you plan to use it overnight in a bedroom, look further.

I need a very quiet fan so I can hear the rain outside with an open window. How quiet is this fan?
The low speed is quiet fast and therefore not quiet.
