Lengthy repair when copying false bad sectors

There needs to be some repair software to quickly remove bad sector flags that are false. The bad sector flags were valid on the decaying disk that was imaged onto the new disk at installation time. My search for repair software included Microsoft, and many others through Google, but came up only with a very slow and through de-fragger that did the trick in a brisk 48 hour session.
