I was disappointed in this Grover Washington record. It came right after Winelight which won two Grammys and is a monster record. There are better Grover records than Come Morning such as Winelight, Live at the Bijou, Reed Seed, Mister Magic and Skylarkin.
Originally had this record on vinyl in the 80's. First heard it at one of my buddy's crib in the late 70's. The song "Coco" is a jazz classic from this project. Joe Thomas is one of the best jazz flute players most people have never heard of. You will enjoy his records.
"Carmel" is one of my favorite records by Joe Sample, along with his first solo release "Rainbow Seekers". You must pick this record up and add to your collection. Both CD's are smoking!
Quincy made some great records in the 70's before he became a media mogul. You get jazz along with some great singers including Chaka Khan, Luther Vandross and Valerie Simpson of Ashford & Simpson. Wonderful record!
I love the Open My Eyes CD. This has to be their best record along with That's The Way of the World and All N All. Get this record. It is jazzy, funky, soulful and innovative all in one. EWF was truly at the top of their game with this record. 1972-1977 was definitely their best and most creative period!
