I was replacing a front loading Maytag set as they were too big for our laundry room once we moved. I have not experienced any issues that others have seemed to have and would recommend the set. I only use the "quick wash" and set it for the "heavy dirty" load. washes the clothes great, all comes very clean. Quite washing was important to me since we do not have a door on our laundry room and this one is very quite. The tub is deep and holds lots of laundry but can be an issue for someone shorter than 5'4". I'm that height and I can just reach the bottom. I find that I just spin the tub around a little and can reach them all. keep a small step stool handy if you are shorter.

I'm not sure but we had it converted to propane and it dries in half the time of my front loading Maytag Neptune

(Model: DLG1102W) Any problems with opening and closing door, and with the white color becoming yellow on the body and control panel?
I am planing to buy the washer and dryer. I almost bought them but when I opened the door for the dryer(Model: DLG1102W) it took too much force to open, it felt like I would break it, and when I closed it I had to slam it. I thought it was user error on my part, but then my friend experienced the same thing and the sales person also. Dose anyone have this problem with the door? Also in one store I saw that the white color of the panel was different than the white on the rest of the body, but in a different store it was the same color. So, I'm concerned if the color is going to change after a while and look yellowish on the control panel and white on the rest of the body, or vice versa.
I will really appreciate if someone can address these concerns and make my decision easier.

I purchased this set a couple of months ago and was also concerned about the dryer door. so far no problems. I went from a Maytag Neptune front loader set that was just too big for my laundry room since we moved. this set was the only set I found that fit. I am extremely happy with the purchase and would recommend them. we had to have the dryer converted to propane and it dries clothes in half the time of the front loading Maytag. :) so far no yellowing of the plastic but I do not have the sun coming in a window hitting them. I found from past experience that if the sun hits them, eventually, over time the plastic yellows.
