Amazing at what it does

So I thought about the DJI Osmo, DJI Osmo mobile and the karma grip. The thing about the grip vs those is that the grip can be attached to almost any GoPro mount. I attached mine to a chest strap and took it on my dirt bike in the rocky New England woods. Editing the video and my jaw dropped! So smooth.
It lacks some of the controls of the DJI like the horizon lock and the phone app controls. (GoPro could add app controls in the future)
I got the damage protection plan. Best part is you can put a battery pack on the bottom and get extra juice but as it is the grip charges the GoPro too.

I already had the 64GB version that I purchased directly from sandisk. My friends and I used it on an airplane, all 3 of us watching different movies. Picked this up for my friends kids, they said it was a LIFE SAVER. The kids were entertained the whole way, no fights over which movies to watch, they can each watch their own. The Box has more than the stick. More internal memory, better graphics, better wifi with longer range, and a remote with voice control (voice only works with Amazon content not other apps like Netflix, a this time voice is pretty worthless in my opinion.) The new box can also do 4K / UHD if you have a 4K/ UHD TV.
That being said... I think for most people that the box isn't worth the extra $60. The box might be worth it for a tv that is really far from your wifi box, or for people that want to play Amazon/ android games. I have both and I do notice that the box is slightly faster than loading menus / movies but not that much faster. I think for 80% the $40 stick is the way to go.
