I've installed a lot of these. The picture and sound always comes through nice and clear. The only problem I've ever had with this is the remote repeater not working a couple of times. If you use this for multiple Tvs in one space the can get some echo from delayed signal.

Will this cable hook into a digital audio jack into the back of a digital audio jack in back of a soundbar
This is a stereo auxiliary cable. It should work from a newer smart tv to the sound bar through auxiliary. You would need a digital audio cable with toslink ends for the digital audio out of the tv to the digital audio in on the sound bar. Digital audio is better but most stereo sound bars work fine with auxiliary.

It will most likely work. I haven't had any trouble with any current models. It's a learning remote if not. Good luck.

will this work with samsung smart tv model un55f7100af?
We have a samsung smart tv and have broken the remote that came with it (it got wet). I tried a sony universal remote but it was not compatible with out tv. I' m having a really hard time finding one that is. Does anyone know if this remote works with the UN55F7100AF?
I have had no problems with any current tv's. Actually I've only had problems with a few cable boxes. But then it's a learning remote as well. So all you have to do is point your remotes together and press the buttons the software tells you to press. Good luck.
