Fantastic Set...but a word of caution.

I bought this set after spending about an hour hemming and hawing with the salesperson about what to buy. Like many, I wanted as much tv as I could get, with as little cash outlay as possible.
I wanted to stick with Samsung as that was the set I was replacing, but when I was shown this model, my mind was made up.
Once I had it in my home, I used the settings found on rtings and the picture is beyond compare for my viewing needs.
Now, for the word of caution...
Be mindful if you are placing this on a stand, the size and configuration of that stand. I ran into a problem as the size of the base takes up a LOT of real estate! So much so, that I had to place my soundbar on top of the large metal base. The problem I ran into with that configuration is that there soundbar then blocked the remote eye on the bottom of the tv.
Not wanting to buy a new stand, wall mount the tv, or any other drastic measure, I was able to mount the soundbar to the FRONT of my stand using the bracket I have had stashed away for the last 6 years, and only had to pony up for a longer optical audio cable.
But in the end...no regrets!
