Great addition to the LG washer/dryer

I wish I could have found these on sale, but overall I'm happy with them. They go great with the LG washer and dryer, it was just a little difficult getting the units up there. It's a 2 person job (2 stronger people).
The drawers are definitely handy. I have a storage cabinet where I'm used to keeping all my supplies, so I don't really have much in the new drawers, but I'm sure I'll fill them with stuff before long.
Most of all, I like how it lifts the washer and dryer up to about chest or belly high, which makes it easier when moving stuff from the washer to the dryer, no bending down or anything.
One downside to the additional height is that the drawer on the LG washer to add detergent is high enough that if you're short (my wife is 5'2", but I'm okay at 6') it may make it harder to see in there to know how much to add. If you were less than 5' high you may want to rethink the pedestal. Same with the optional water for the steam dryer feature if you have that on your LG dryer.
Otherwise, great color match, and it really makes your laundry room pop, while giving some good storage in the process.
What's great about it: Lifts washer and dryer to a more convenient height
What's not so great: Price is high for what's basically a metal box
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dries in half the time of my old machine

This dryer is great. My old one was over 15 years old and I'd usually be drying stuff twice as long as I do now, just to get it done. Especially jeans or towels.
Also, my old dryer, even using dryer sheets, would always leave a TON of static on my clothes, especially anything flannel. This dryer has some kind of anti-static so I don't even need to use a dryer sheet (unless I want to) and things come out great, not a spark to be found.
I haven't used some of the advanced features like the steam or the tray, so I can't say how well those work, but the regular things like high heat, regular, perm. press, etc. are all wonderful. Even delicate, low heat things like down-filled pillows came through just fine.
Plus, the stainless steel drum, instead of whatever other dryers use, means the dark colored jeans that normally leave marks aren't a problem. I don't know how many white socks are now streaked blue from the old dryer doing that, but I haven't had a problem like that with this unit.
What's great about it: Efficient, cool red color, and the features are great
What's not so great: Nothing bad to say
I would recommend this to a friend!

It really does save on water and electricity

This washer replaced a 15 year old top-loader, so it definitely wins in terms of updated styling, features, and energy efficiency. Speaking of efficiency, depending on where you live, you may qualify for a rebate from your local utility.
The features on this are amazing, and I love the little tune it plays when the load is finished.
It handles much larger loads than my old top loader, and once I got the feet properly adjusted for my un-level floor, it only shakes a little bit during the spin cycles, and it's really quiet.
My only complaint is one that's common to almost all washing machines, and it's the way it "pulses" the water on and off when filling up. I have a tankless hot water heater, so when it's turning the hot water on/off/on/off over and over, it causes my tankless unit to repeatedly cycle on and off. My old washer did that as well and I hoped new machines would avoid that. The good news is, it only seems to do that pulsing water-fill during the initial part of the cycle, then it seems to fill in longer bursts, so I think it has to do with measuring the size of the load at first.
I was really impressed that I could jam in my king size comforter. I used to have to take that to a laundromat and use one of the large units, but I can just barely manage to get it in. If you have large blankets or comforters, give it a try. It might not exactly fit, but it definitely has a large capacity.
What's great about it: Energy Efficient
What's not so great: A bit pricey
I would recommend this to a friend!

This INSTEON garage door kit detects the door's status and lets you remotely open or close it via an INSTEON controller (not included), so you don't have to worry about leaving your garage door open.

Product Works but not what I expected
By caqtain from Ona, WV
The bottom line is this kit works very well. It was a snap to install and I'm happy with it. Now for the negative comments- pay no attention to the product pictured on the Best Buy web site. The product image shows a heavy duty balanced magnetic switch with armored cable. In reality the BMS is plastic and the ~22 AWG wire is not protected by an armored flex conduit. The receiver/controller module has "SmartHome" written across it. I suppose Insteon bought out SmartHome? It just feels like I received a repackaged old stock product. The absolute worst part of this kit is the printed instructions. Do yourself a favor and throw them away. The Insteon web site has a great self-help area with much better instructions.

Smarthome resells Insten
March 29, 2014
Smarthome is a major reseller... Going to the Smarthome website, you'll see they feature Insteon prominently among their other offerings. Smarthome also has an annoying tendency to put their own name on products they sell, like a Foscam FI8910 camera that they resell as a Smarthome wifi camera. Same exact thing, just slapped their logo on it. No harm though. Especially with Insteon...Smarthome is practically synonymous with Insteon.
That said, the garage door kit, 74551, pictured on the Smarthome website sounds more like what you received than the image shown on Best Buy. The price here on BB is much better though, so it sounds like a good deal (I found it here by looking for anywhere with a better price, like auction sites, etc).
So it sounds like this is a good deal if you're looking for that 74551 garage door kit... I may have to pick up a couple myself.
