The actors move very well cast, the mood was perfectly managed through the set pieces, the plot was reasonably engaging. An interesting cross between Harry Potter and the X-Men episodes set at the Xavier Institute.
It's best to see these movies in order. Stage settings and background were very period -specific and added much to my enjoyment of these movies. did not, however, enjoy the installment movie as much as the first & third.
This movie combines the very best elements of a-grab-you-by-your-throat detective movie and an in-depth look at the inner workings of the Catholic Church. The plot is first-class, as is the acting ensemble. This is a must-see.
This film is a sophisticated, well-thought out thrill ride that combines an engaging documentary about the Catholic Church in Rome with the best elements of a detective movie. This movie was truly enjoyable, just watch it when you're well rested because you want to be able to keep up with the plot twists.
As a longtime comics reader, I approached the movie thinking that the concept of Batman battling Superman was nonsensical, hence my expectations were pretty low. After viewing the movie, I was really impressed with the nuance and sophistication delivered by the director. The film is much more about managing the presence of super beings versus just a battle between 2 very well known superheroes. I really enjoyed the movie, only negative was that Ben Affleck would not be my casting choice for Batman.
This movie does a great job of breaking new ground in the Bond saga while slyly paying homage to some of the predecessor flicks. Just be sure that you have your snacks nearby, you won't want to put his Blu-Ray on < Pause > too many times. The momentum builds artfully. Packaging is excellent, though would have liked the dvd to have been included as well at this price.
Sherlock offers a 21st century set updating of Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective tales. This release contains every episode from the British program's first season which featured Benedict Cumbercatch and Martin Freeman as the iconic Holmes and Watson.
The Sherlock franchise continues to entertain and educate. The Brits just produce a different kind of T.V. series than we do in the states, but the contrasting style makes for some great entertainment. Top notch acting & script writing makes you wish the season ran longer.
Packaging was excellent. The story line is engaging to both fan boys (girls) and newbies to the X-Men arc. Great mix of character development and outright action sequences.
