Nostalgic and great for younger generation

So I took the camera with 8 color and 8 b&w pictures to my 8-year-old great niece's birthday party. All of us adults were commenting on how old the tech is and remember when... My 10-year-old great nephew asked to try it and it was a hit. I think we forget that this generation never saw anything like a Polaroid camera. He's grown up with digital and having to wait to see what he shot was hilarious to him. He was fanning it back and forth like I did as a kid and it was amusing to watch.
In today's world, this camera is past it's time for everyday use but for events such as parties or as my nephew said at a wedding reception, these would be a hit. I mentioned they have rental photo booths nowadays, but he reminded me these would be much more fun and no lines waiting for your turn. Just set out a bunch of these with film packs and let your guest amuse each other.
The photo quality is a bit lacking. The color photos look exactly like they did in the 70s. In fact, if you were to dress up in 70s fashion and take a pic, I'd bet many people would think the photo was 40+ years old. The room we took pics in had very little outdoor light, but it had plenty of available light from the chandelier and recessed can lights. That said the color pics came out dark and moving the switch to + made it worse. I put it on - and it wasn't much better than the middle position. Black and whites on - came out with a bluish tone and in the middle position, it was a tad bit better. If you're looking for HD pics, it ain't gonna happen. If you're wanting that feeling of taking a snapshot and having a usable photo in 5-15 minutes then this is a fun toy. I think it would be fun for young kids and social gatherings just to create conversations. I'm sure I'll find a number of uses for it in the future. It's definitely not taking the place of my 6d or t5i.
The downside is the price of film. I looked online and it was around $16. They need to get that price point down to make it worth buying enough for an event.

A bit tinny for my taste

I really wanted to like these earbuds, but they don't have the bass I like. I played with the 3 settings, noise canceling, ambient sound and nothing. All three setting sound tinny, but I was good with it until I looked at the box again. In nice big font it says Extra Bass...what! Maybe I need to look at the manual again, but I didn't really hear much bass, let alone extra. That said, the headphones do sound good, as good as any of my other earbuds. They fit better than most of the ones I use including a set of wireless Bose. I gave the 4 stars base on fit and function. They work, plain and simple. I'm sure when I listen to audiobooks at the gym, these are going to work great. They just don't do it for me with music. I tried Amazon music as well as my own files and neither lived up to the noise canceling JBL over the ear phones I use. I'd recommend these for users that listen to voice recordings more than music or to music lovers who prefer more treble than bass.

I've tried an Hp and a number of Logitech mice the last few months. None of them lived up to my expectation. I've always had good luck with Microsoft mice, but they're getting harder and harder to find. I saw this one and it's a bit small for my hands, but I figured I'd try it. I've been using it for weeks doing homework and playing games and it's pretty much lived up to my expectation. It misses clicks every now and then, but maybe that's me. It's not fancy if that's what you like or does it have lots of function buttons, but it's got the back button on the thumb side and the click wheel works good. I'll still be looking for a replacement, but this one will stay on the desk until then and behind the monitor for a backup after that.

So I unboxed the unit and it seems like it's pretty straight forward. You have the unit, two fan brushes unattached, the base charger station, and the manual & quick start brochure. The only thing to assemble is the brushes and they are color coded green and pink for ease of use. The on off switch pictured in the quick start is a bit hard to decypher. I thought it was on the bottom and unscrewed the two phillips screws. That door is for the battery pack. I reassembled that and flipped the unit over. You have to life the large middle disk to access the switch, not hard, just didn't make sense to me. That done, I let it charge overnight. The manual calls for 4 hours. The next day I downloaded the Android app, apparently available for iOS too and it works flawlessly. I installed it and set up the wifi. The unit stated to continue to install the app when it had made the handshake with my router's network. I then hit the auto button on my phone and off it went.
This unit works pretty well. I have a 6 chair dining room set and it vacuumed underneath it, albeit bumping into the chair legs repeatedly. I'm guessing that's because it was mapping the house for the first time. I closed off all the bedrooms because if this unit has a downside, it's that it doesn't see cords. I walked the rooms a number of times to clears cords that it might suck in. The other problem I had was unique to my house. The fireplace has a brick hearth and it's made with split pavers. The pavers are higher than the carpet, but not by much so the unit goes up on it partway and turns around. It doesn't seem to hurt the vacuum, but it should sense the area as an obstruction. Once I figure out how to zone the area off, it should be good. Oh and lastly, my baths and kitchen have basic sheet vinyl and the unit has no problems doing a wheelie as it bounces itself back to carpet after entering those areas. That I like.

This unit works great, it's just not for me. I'm a mouse guy and the Logitech G603 I have started screwing up. The scroll wheel didn't control the scroll and I didn't know if it would go up or down regardless of which way I scrolled. I bought the trackball thinking I might like it better, but I don't. I'll keep it on the desk, but I bought a cheap Microsoft mouse and I'm really happy with it.

I bought this because it was the lowest price UHD on the shelf. I have a Samsung Bluray player and didn't know if it would play UHD. It doesn't but this set included a digital copy as well as a bluray disk, so no harm no foul. It did what I wanted which was to test the unit and now I know I need a new player for the 55" 4k in the den.

Works great, but it's really large!

As a person with allergies, this is a wonderful air purifier, but it's big. It's hard to find a spot to place this thing. I'm sure over time I'll figure it out. The positives: The remote is pretty sweet. It's magnetic and it sit on top of the unit where hopefully it won't get lost. I also downloaded the app from the Google play store and it lets you update and control the unit. It's not noisy, but it's not quiet either on the higher settings. I thought I remember Dyson making a point about how quiet these fans were. We just had a day where it was 80f degrees inside and out and on full speed this put out a nice breeze aimed at my recliner. It does oscillate at different degrees, 45, 90, 180 and 350 I believe. I like it stationary. The negatives are the filters. Yeah I know an air purifier is going to need filters, but these look pricey. I haven't priced them out yet, but hopefully they aren't too bad because they are pretty big. There are 2 halves that are charcoal and 2 halves that I believe are hepa filters. The app show you the percentage of life left in the filters as well as current conditions such as air quaility. Knock on wood, but I think this thing is helping my Claritin work as I haven't had a sneezing, watery eye day this spring.

I live in a fringe area that gets very little OTA signals. We have a public agency transponder that is very outdated, but they still manage to air CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, 4 Digital PBS stations, KTLA and a few other locals. I'm able to receive those signals via a roof mounted UHF/VHF antenna. I wanted to see what this could do, but unfortunately for me, the unit was unable to pick up a single signal inside the house. From my house to the transponder is about 19 miles as the crow flies, so it should have received a signal from some of the stations, even if it was a weak signal. So for me, the unit is a failure. That said, I think this unit would be great in an area with lots of OTA signals, say the San Bernardino/Los Angeles Basin. I plan on returning to that area some time soon and I'll be keeping this unit in storage until then. I gave the unit a 3 because I didn't want to give it a one. Again I think it should work well given a different environment. It is a bummer that I didn't get it to work. I will be trying a few different configurations with it before I box it up. I think it's one of those items that if it fails to work for you, it's a one and if it works, it's a five.

Lots to like, sound could be better

These are a great set of earbuds. First off, they paired up easily to my Google Pixel, something that a lot of earphones don't do. The magnetic charger is so nice. It's about an inch long and it clicks to the back of the volume controls. No messing with a little rubber door that feels like it's going to rip off every time you charge the set. It comes with an assortment of ear pieces, s,m,l. ear bud cushions and 2-3 ear cushions to seal the buds. Thats the one problem I have with these buds. When I get them to seal, the bass and music sound great. Using them at the gym works. But when they don't make a seal on either ear, they sound tinny with no lows. It could just be my ears or me, but I tried the medium buds that are installed from factory and then I tried the large. The medium are the closest to fit me and the large wouldn't even go in, so there's that. The small would most likely not seal, so I didn't even try them. I chose just to mess with them a bit and get a good sound. Like I said, once they fit, they sound good. I'd recommend them to a friend.

This little guy puts out some sound

I got this and it's bigger brother the SRS-XB41. Let me say the both of them put out the same sound, at least as far as my ears can tell. They play nice and loud and I didn't hear much if any distortion at higher levels. I could hear the sound throughout the 1500 sq ft house. I posted a review on the 41 and I'm going to paste a few lines here, then I'll add a few that differentiate the two units.
I'm pretty happy with this speaker. I have it and it's smaller brother the SRS-XB21. I got to say they both have incredible sound. Once you get this out of the box, you can pair it up with a Bluetooth source and you're off. Otherwise, download the music center from the app store, in my case Google/Android and it makes pair the speaker or more than one speaker a breeze. It also connects to a few popular apps, such as Iheartradio, Pandora, your personal library and I believe Spotify. I love to listen to KGB fm out of San Diego. I grew up listening to KMET and KLOS, but KGB has the playlist of my generation if you're into classic rock.
So the differences. First of is size. The 21 is easy to hold in your hand. The 31 is 4 to 5x bigger and it's hefty. I'll post a picture with the boxes side by side to show the difference. The 21 only has a single white led top and bottom, so really no light show, at least as far as I've seen. You can't install the Fiestable app to the 21 or the 31 which lets the user become a basic DJ. That app only works with the big dog. That said, if you're wanting portable sound for outside while you're working or relaxing, inside doing the same, this little guy should fit the bill. It pairs up easily once you install the music center app and if you enjoy iheartradio, tunein, Pandora or your own music, then listening will be a breeze.

Can I plug this into myHP desktop computer to watch Webinars?
As long as you have the green mini jack on the front, top or back of your desktop you can. The headset isn't USB, it has a pink and green mini plug, the pink for microphone and the green for headset. Windows 10 switched it over from my Creative speakers to the headset automatically. If not you would right click on the speaker icon in the lower right of your screen and pick playback, scroll down to Headphones and chose it for default. Then when you are finished you might have to go back and switch default back to your speakers. Most likely Windows will do it all for you when you plug in the green jack. Good Luck.
