Family Guy Rocks!

It's hard to be funny on cue. It's hard to be funny on a regular basis. Family Guy was cancelled twice and came back because we refused to let Fox get away with it. (We should do this much more often.) When reinstated, Family Guy delivered - as usual. I hate American Dad. I tolerate The Cleveland Show (the logo is hilarious). Hate Futurama. Can barely stand The Simpsons... but I OWN ALL OF FAMILY GUY!!! Again, Best Buy had the best price on this one.

What's great about it: 22 Episodes! Just like in the 60's!
What's not so great: Not all episodes were great...

This side splitting release from the satirical animated series South Park includes all 14 episodes from the show's sixteenth season, following the foul mouthed students of South Park Elementary as they lampoon everything from wrestling to reality stars.

YES!!! SOUTH PARK LIVES!

I waited. I waited some more. I did not want to miss the release of South Park 16. Some episodes were great ("Insecurity", "Reverse Cowgirl"). Some sucked ("Sarcastaball", "I Should Have Never Gone Ziplining"). However, the fact that South Park is still around & giving all it's got is just awesome! The fact that Best buy had the best price for this set (and, yes, I looked around) was even more awesome!

Great/Unexpected Approach to 3rd Film!!

Usually - historically - the third film of a franchise is/was a lousy, terrible, 'one-off-at-the-wrist' non-effort. Characters we were induced to caring about - even loving - were turned into caricatures of themselves and you felt like an idiot for investing your money, time & loyalty by attending the screening - only to leave the theater disgusted and hurting in a place no one should hurt.
Not so with Iron Man 3! We see a Tony Stark who experiences random panic attacks, who actually cares for someone more than he does himself. I've read about a million comic books in my day and I've always hated Tony Stark. Until now. Can't wait for Iron Man 4!!

What's great about it: This film could stand alone. Answered the 'what else can we do w/ego maniac Tony Stark' quite well.
What's not so great: The prospect (at one time) this was the last last film.

1972 The Front Page ROCKS!

I keep reading reviews on this movie saying how bad it is and how it just doesn't compare to the one from the 1930's. WRONG!
First, you have the very best cinematic comedy duo since Bing met Bob. Nobody - I mean NOBODY tops Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon when they're on a roll... AND this film was directed by the amazing Billy Wilder with whom Matthau won his only Oscar.
Second, I can't believe the pans I've read on the performance offered by Carol Burnett. She played the role perfectly. Just as she perceived it and absolutely on the mark. She isn't just a comedian, she's an actor as well.
Lastly, the entire cast work together splendidly and this movie should be owned by anyone who enjoys an honest, intelligent comedy, machine gun-rapid retorts and is waiting for something to make them laugh out loud. Buy it! You will not regret it.

This exciting release from the martial arts fantasy adventure animated series The Legend of Korra, a spin-off of Avatar: The Last Airbender that takes place later, includes all 12 episodes from the show's first season, following the story of Korra, an Avatar with the power to manipulate all four elements in the world, who joins a revolutionary group, hoping to finally capture a man who plans to rid the world of bending.

I bought it, and I'm not sorry. I watched it all - from beginning to end and the twists in the story alone is worthy of this being called a fitting 'Avatar'.

What's great about it: Storyline not a re-hash of past series.
What's not so great: Korra is difficult to like for a long time.

I have all of the "Ice Age" movies. Usually, the first one is the best of a series, but not this time. If you're undecided about getting this one, don't be. It's more than a safe-bet; so get!

Package Description: Lights, Camera, Looney-ness! The Spotlight is on 2 Looney Tunes movies -- now remastered so that every image shines and every fine Acme product goes swoosh like new. The chase is on in Disc 1's The Bugs Bunny/Road-Runner Movie as Elmer pursues the pesky wabbit. Daffy Duck tries to elude the animator's eraser and Wile E. Coyote tears after Road Runner and Bugs. By the way, how do you catch a Road Runner? You don't! Beep-Beep! More cartoon Harelarity is what's up, doc, in Disc 2's Bugs Bunny's 3rd Movie: 1001 Rabbit Tales. Our long-eared hero becomes a spinner of fantastic stories while held captive in a desert sultan's palace. Yosemite Sam is the sawed-off sidewinder wielding the sultan's sword. Mad mallard Daffy joins the fun, coping (or not) with a meanie-genie. The rest, as they say, is...hysterical!

This IS Spotlight Collect 3
on April 2, 2010
Posted by: luskipher
from Garden Grove, CA
If you were wondering why you just can't find "Looney Tunes Spotlight Collection 3", it's because, secretly THIS IS IT!
What's cool about this edition is that it is the ONLY one that is NOT included in the Looney Tunes Golden Collection.
It is sad that it is called the Movie Collection 3 - making all normal people think there are editions specifically dedicated to Looney Tunes movies, and this is the 3rd volume of that elusive collection.
On the back the blurb reads, "The Spotlight is on 2 Looney Tunes movies...". This edition is poorly labeled and has made collectors of the Spotlight Collection looney looking for the 3rd Spotlight edition.
Buy this one - even if these movies have been edited for this DVD release. (I cannot confirm this - but that's the word.)
So, if you are a rabid (or rabbit) collector of Looney Tunes, buy all 6 editions of the Golden Collection, BUY THIS ONE and wait until August (moved from April) for 2 more DVDs - "Looney Tunes Super Stars: Daffy Duck - Frustrated Fowl" & "Looney Tunes Super Stars: Bugs Bunny - Hare Extraordinaire" both with all previously unreleased material.
What's great about it: Finally, The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie on DVD
What's not so great: "Bugs Bunny's 3rd Movie: 1001 Rabbit Tales" & "Young Hollywood Take on Looney Tunes" Extra SUCKS
