The Surface Laptop 5 is a beautiful piece of equipment. Weighing in at only 2.8 lbs,, it is light and looks amazing. The 13.5 inch PixelSense display has a resolution of 2256 x 1504 and is a pleasure to look at. It is bright and colors are vivid and text is crisp and clear. In my opinion, it is one of the best displays on a laptop. The Laptop 5 got a processor upgrade from an 11th generation Intel CPU to a 12th generation, which is built on the Intel EVO platform. For some reason, Microsoft is no longer offering the Laptop line with an AMD processor.
Microsoft claims the 12th generation CPU helps give the laptop up to 18 hours of battery life, Like most manufacturers battery claims, which are often not reflective of average daily use, I would be surprised if this laptop ever gets to 18 hours, but from my usage, I would say 15 hours is doable. It all depends on your usage. The 12th gen CPU is definitely faster in benchmarks, though again, how much of that shows in day to day usage is anybody's guess. The Laptop 5 has also been upgraded with a USB-C port that now supports Thunderbolt, though I wish it offered at least 2 USB-C ports.
I don't feel like the Laptop 5 is a must-have upgrade from a Laptop 4, but if you are in the market for a fantastic laptop that is fast and and looks amazing, you don't need to look any farther than the Surface Laptop 5.

So, let's just start with this...the DJI Mavic 3 Classis is a phenomenal drone. True, you don't get the dual camera setup found on the Mavic 3. But I can tell you the Mavic 3 Classic is the same drone in every other way, and it's $600 cheaper. The 28x zoom found on the Mavic 3 is nice, but I like flying the Classic and the range is excellent, not to mention really good battery life, so I really don't mind flying closer to my subject to get the picture.
The Mavic 3 Classic is first and foremost a drone, so how does it perform? I owned the original Mavic Pro and loved it. I also own the Mini 2 and love it. But the Mavic 3 Classic is by far the best performing drone of them all. It is very responsive and goes where you tell it to. It is also very stable in the wind. The Go Fly app has all the features you'll need. But I highly recommend the DJI RC controller. The screen is sharp, the controls are smooth, and it's nice not having to connect my phone.
As previously stated, you don't get the dual camera setup that comes on the Mavic 3. The camera appears to be the same as the main camera on the Mavic 3. And I'm very impressed with the results. If you want to oversaturate the colors later feel free, but the Hasselblad Natural Color Solution (HNCS) profile produces pretty much what your eye sees and I prefer it that way. Pictures are incredibly sharp and clear, even when the lighting isn't ideal. The picture I uploaded was taken an hour before sundown on a cloudy evening, but there was no perceptible loss of detail. 4k video is equally sharp and clear without the jitters common to drone cameras.
If you want a drone that flies great, with a camera that takes phenomenal pictures, but don't need a lot of zoom, save your money and get the Classic.

I have really enjoyed using my Whoop 4.0 in the last month. I tend to be a bit of a data nerd and this thing has upped the game for me. Before I got the Whoop, I was tracking my HR, workouts, sleep, etc., on another device. As soon as I got the Whoop, I realized all the data I was missing or misusing.
In January of 2021, I was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). This syndrome gives me much higher heart rates, fatigue, and limits my physical outputs. Before I was diagnosed, I was an avid cyclist and runner and it has been very frustrating trying to figure out my body through this process. It seemingly felt like every day I was doing the same thing but feeling much different. Whoop 4.0 has helped me so much with knowing my own body. I have started connecting those “bad days” to concrete data thanks to Whoop. It helps me to dial in my sleep and recovery so that I do not have nearly as many POTS “bad” days.
Before I get into the data and how I have used it, I just wanted to mention that the device is very easy to set up. It automatically connects to your phone once you have downloaded the app, it is small, lightweight, and very comfortable, and the charging device is so easy to use. There is a battery that clips to the device that you can wear while charging it. I usually charge it at night, but could easily wear the rechargeable batter throughout my day. The Whoop App is very user friendly and very simple to use.
The Whoop 4.0 device, once it starts to understand your habits and trends, will automatically detect your activities if you don’t start them. There have been several times where I have gone on long hikes or played golf and forgotten to start the device. Inevitably, the device with auto-detect my activity, and I will still get a strain score from that activity so that I can better monitor my recovery.
Whoop 4.0 tracks sleep much more accurately than anything I have used to date. I tried not to get too married to the numbers with sleeping. I would wake up, take a while to see how I was feeling, then look at the Whoop recovery and sleep scores. I would rate how I felt on a 0-10 scale and then see what the Whoop gave me as a recovery score. I have become much more aware of how my body is really feeling. It has also offered me the opportunity to know when to take a day off, cut workouts short, or how to recover better for a big strain day the next day.
With Whoop 4.0, you not only get a data collecting device, but you are also connecting with other people using the device. You can compare your sleep, recovery, and strain with like-minded individuals. This feature has helped me to keep pushing myself. I follow multiple other athletes, and it is cool to see what they are doing on a daily basis. Another cool feature is that Whoop will send you research driven articles to help you in your pursuit of wholistic, healthy living. Articles on how to sleep better, bed time routines, strain scores for all forms of athletic goals, and much more. They do an awesome job of helping you use the data that you are collecting with the device.
I really do not have anything to complain about using Whoop 4.0. If I was pressed to give any critique, it would be battery life. Albeit, with how small and lightweight the device is, the battery life is very good. I usually get about 4-7 days depending on how many extra activities on do during the week. I am use to my smart watch that I have gotten over 2 weeks of battery life with. This seems like comparing apples to oranges, but they both are data collecting devices, and I just wanted to note this for anyone who is looking to purchase.
All in all, this device has been wonderful to use. I would recommend it to anyone. From those looking just to get healthier, to top tier athletes trying to get a competitive edge.

I probably don't use the Shark FlexStyle to it's fullest potential...but my daughter does and here's what she had to say:
First, let me get this out of the way...the Shark FlexStyle Air Styling & Drying System looks like it's built to last. And I love the color. I was skeptical at first that the hair dryer and attachments would be hard to use and end up being more work. I was wrong! This product is so easy to use, and I use all the attachments. I was also skeptical about how powerful it would be in blow dryer mode. Again, I was wrong! The blow dryer puts out plenty of air and has three levels of power (I typically only have to go up to the medium power setting) and also three levels of heat. Just twist it and it's ready to go. The curl attachments easily wrapped my hair around it. I just had to learn to take smaller amounts of hair at a time and it worked perfectly. And it created some very nice voluminous curls! My only complaint would be the cool temperature never really gets cold. A very small grip, indeed, when you consider how great this this is!
All in all I would say this is so worth the money, and a great alternative to more expensive brands. Very impressed!

For the cost of ownership, I had high expectations for the Escort Max 360c MKII. And it has not disappointed. Loaded with features not found in other radar detectors, the 360C MKII has great 360 degree range, fast lock on, and seems to filter out false signals, including IVTs, well. Before going any further, we should talk about the app, which is required for things like updates, and downloading the database for the location of speed traps and cameras. The app isn't stellar. While my expectations for the 360C MKII were high, it was not so for the app. Its issues are well-documented. I first tried the new app (Drive Smarter) and couldn't get it to connect to the radar detector. I'm an IT administrator and I pride myself on understanding technology, but after struggling with it for a while, I called tech support. The tech told me to use the old app (Escort Live). It worked so that's what I'm now using.
So, I compared the Max 360C MKII side-by-side to another highly rated model from a different company. I was impressed that the range was better, and it filtered false signals better. I haven't used the 360C MKII long enough yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing how well the Autolearn Intelligence feature works to filter out false positives over time.
The cost is high. But if you demand the best and like the added benefit of shared network alerts, the Max 360C MKII is worth every penny.
So, I compared the Max 360C MKII side-by-side to another highly rated model from a different company. I was impressed that the range was better, and it filtered false signals better. I haven't used the 360C MKII long enough yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing how well the Autolearn Intelligence feature works to filter out false positives over time.

I really wanted to like the Fahrenheit tower heater. The concept is good... a tower heater with a Bluetooth speaker and RGB lighting. Initially, the app wouldn't find the tower heater. Then I realized I was rejecting access to location services, which kept the app from working. So for me that's one star gone. There's absolutely no reason why this product should require location services. Once I allowed location services, the app found the heater and everything worked as advertised.
The speaker is actually pretty good, and the lighting is nice. The volume and lighting are both controlled through the Fahrenheit app. There's plenty of volume and the sound is just fine for your patio or deck.
So, why only 2 stars? While the speaker and lights are nice, the main purpose of this product is to provide heat. Even with the tower heater on high and on an evening that was in the low 70s, unless you were standing within a foot of it, you couldn't feel any heat coming from it. Maybe on a night that is cold there would be more contrast and you would be able to actually feel the heat, but I have my doubts.
When the weather gets colder, if I can feel the warmth coming from this heater, I'll update my review. But in the meantime, I cannot recommend this product.

The Linksys Hydra Pro 6 router is about as unassuming as any router out there. In a world where routers have started looking like spaceships, the Hydra Pro's design is decidedly NOT spaceship-like. It's basically a rectangular with ONLY 2 antennas. But never judge a book by its cover. This router is faster than it looks and with great coverage. With a fast 1GHz processor and full Wi-Fi 6 support, if you're waiting on web pages to load or files to download, it won't be the router's fault.
As for features, the Hydra Pro 6 has mesh compatibility with Linksys nodes, Wi-Fi 6, and basic parental controls as highlights. But what it might lack in bells and whistles, it makes up for with stability and throughput. In my experience, the Hydra 6 Pro has provided a very stable connection and excellent throughput.
If you want a no-nonsense router, the Hydra Pro 6 is a great choice. My only complaint is that for what you are getting the price is a little high. But get it on sale and you can't go wrong.

Setting the system up through the app was a breeze. Once the base station is set up, you can then set up other devices through the app like motion sensors, entry sensors, etc. just by pressing the button on the sensor. Super easy. Or you can use the keypad, but for me that's not as easy.
Once installed you can choose a monitoring plan. I chose the self monitoring plan because I live in a fairly safe area. They offer plans that monitor the sensors, call you if there is an issue, and then they call the authorities, if that's what you need. The high-end plan also offers unlimited video recording. I also like the fact that you don't have to choose a monitoring plan. You can choose to get alerts and respond yourself.
So far I'm very happy with the system. The video quality is good on the cameras, and the motion sensor and entry sensors work flawlessly. Everything works as advertised. It is so full-featured and well thought-out.
If you want a full-featured security system that includes sensors (motion, water, glass breakage), cameras (indoor and out), video doorbell, etc., in one system that ties everything neatly together, SimpliSafe is a great choice.

The Modal Flower hard shell case is a beautiful case, not to mention that if offers excellent protection. It snaps onto the 13 Pro easily, and it has a snug fit without any movement. The buttons are easy to press and the cutaway on the bottom allows for plenty of room for the charger. I don't have a wireless charger to test with the case, but I'm guessing it should work just fine. The protection offered by this case is excellent. There are raised portions on the back of the case to keep scratches to a minimum, and there is a raised portion around the camera to keep the lenses protected, as well. It also offers plenty of grip and slipping shouldn't be a problem. My wife's 13 Pro is blue and the design looks great with it. But I imagine it will look good with any of the iPhone colors, including the new green color. Overall, the Modal Flower hard shell case is a fantastic addition to your iPhone 13 Pro. It offers excellent protection, good grip, and the design is gorgeous. And the price is right!

I got this computer in hopes that I could have a much better gaming setup and ultimately more fun. I was playing on a game console, which was great, but I always felt like I was missing out on a few features that my friends had. I’m not a heavy gamer, but I do like to play Warzone, Apex, and some sports games. So far, this computer has been great. It was very easy to set up, has worked flawlessly, has great customization, excellent graphics, and great aesthetics.
As soon as I turned on the PC, it worked great. I downloaded the apps I needed, plugged in my headset and PS5 controller, changed a few settings, and it worked flawlessly. And now, almost 2 weeks later, it is still working with no problems at all.
Since this computer is designed with gaming in mind, it has been so easy to customize graphic settings. It also comes with Xbox gaming center, Nvidia filters and customization, and much more. It was no harder to customize than a gaming console.
The graphics have been why I wanted a PC for a long time. I have a 240hz monitor and can run Warzone at 120FPS with no problems. The difference in how smooth and crisp the graphics are compared to the PS5 has been night and day. It has improved my gaming immensely already, and I expect it to become even better as I get used to the computer gaming even more.
As far as the computer itself, aside from gaming, it has been amazing. It comes with Windows 11 (I do like 10 better but that’s personal preference), has a beautiful case with lights inside of it to make the aesthetic of my desk very cool. It comes with a basic mouse and keyboard, so you may want to upgrade those if you are an MNK player.
It seems weird to write a review where I don’t at least point out something negative, but I truly cannot find fault with this PC yet. I would recommend this PC to anyone, and in fact, have already told several of my friends to get one!

Does this camera work with just my wifi or is it on the cloud and does it require a monthly service fee?
The video doorbell will work, but functionality is pretty basic. You get notifications when there's motion, and you can watch live video to see who's at the door. But without a subscription you cannot record motion or live video, and you cannot take photos. From my experience, this is pretty much the norm for video doorbells.

Blink video door bell does it detect you even if you don't press the door bell button? Or how it works to notify you? Would you receive alert notification if some one is at door just standing?
You can choose to receive a notification if the video doorbell detects motion.
