One of the best rock albums of all time

For those of you who were around during the late 70's, 'More Than A Feeling' was one of those catchy tunes that was played all the day and night, and it was just one of the enchanting tracks on the self-titled debut from Boston that would be become one of the top selling albums of all time that also started the distinct Boston sound. Like AC/DC and Van Halen, Boston also defined 70's hard rock that would carry-on through the following decades. Although Boston didn't make as many records as their peers mentioned with continuous personnel changes the followed, this is one of those records where nearly every song becoming a classic that was hard to beat.

LZIV is LZ's best album hands down and one of my favorite rock albums of all time with 5 of their all time classics: Black Dog, Rock And Roll, Mist Mountain Hop, When The Levee Breaks, and of course the epic Stairway To Heaven. Of all the bands of the early 70s like LZ, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath that set the tone for all the heavy metal and hard rock acts that follow, LZ was the leader and this album is another testament to that legacy.

Short EP but still worth owning

With only 6 tracks (7 songs) at 27mins, this EP was released the year before Tool’s 1st LP Undertow and It’s a taste of their unique sound that continues to evolve thru their next 4 albums. The songs on this EP are not as refined as their later works but still more deep and visceral than other heavy metal, and so mesmerizing that the music just engulfs your thoughts and senses.

Throughout Slayer’s span of over 3 decades, their style of music has not changed and you can expect this album to be the same flavor of hot and spicy hardcore thrash metal they’re known for. This deluxe edition also comes with a DVD of over an hour of their concert Live at Waken 2014 in Germany, and over 40mins of making-of the album shot in their recording studio. This purchase is a great deal that’s a must own - a good album with all these nice bonus materials!

I've only listened to the first self-titled BC album from the early 90s and even saw them open for the Metallica/GnR concert in 1992 and thought they're did pretty hardcore metal for a rapper, Ice-T. Haven't really followed them since I'm into so many metal and hard rock groups like Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and AC/DC, but I gave this album a try and these guys can still rock in metal...but still a notch below the bands mentioned who are more renowned in the history of metal. Most of the songs are still pretty heavy, headbangable stuff!

If you listen to only one AC/DC album, this is the one! Every song on this legendary LP rocks and you can listen to it over and over to the 1000th time and not be sick of it. The remastered edition also has the best sound quality with each song heard in their sharpest and loudest glory.
