We started using this cleaner when we purchased our Hoover Floormate Wood Floor Cleaning machine, and it works quite well. Obviously, it's formulated to clean the floors by spray-on application from the machine and then after the brushes scrub to be vacuumed up back into the machine. What's good about this cleaner is that it does a good job of breaking up greasy dirt (typical floor dirt) and doesn't leave any noticeable film or streaks. If it does leave any film at all it might have been only the first time we used it. Once we cleaned our floors twice and picked up all of the dissolved dirt, this cleaner has given us good results that are a lot better than those fiber pad products and solutions that just seemed to rearrange the dirt rather than truly pick it up. This Multi-Floor Plus cleaner and our Hoover Floormate machine are a winning combination in a world full of new product losers. We like both of these products.
Hoover FloorMate Deluxe Hard Floor Cleaner: Tackle dirt and grime with this cleaner that features SpinScrub technology and counter-rotating brushes to leave your hard floors spick and span. A 20' power cord allows you to easily clean a large room without changing outlets.

My wife and I were looking for an old-style buffer to clean and polish our wood floors. We found this Hoover Floormate Hard Floor cleaner and realized that it can be used on hardwood, ceramic, tile and brick-paver floors. When we bought it, at first it sat unused for a couple of weeks until my wife got up enough nerve to tackle the "difficult" job of cleaning the floors. Then, after reading the directions, mixing the cleaning solution (sample bottle included) with water, and getting started, it was off to the races. Since we purchased it, my wife has used it several times with great results. Pros: Easy, no bending over and scrubbing, the tank and brushes remove and clean easily, and the cleaner does a great job of picking up the used water/cleaner mix leaving the floors dry and streak-free. We've used it on both wood floors and sealed brick pavers with great results. Cons: none to speak of. The solution must be mixed and tank filled and emptied, but that's a heck of a lot easier than getting on your knees and scrubbing. Since this machine is so easy to use, it's easier to clean our wood floors more often, so they don't get that greasy grimey buildup, and look better all the time. Expect that the first time you use the machine, you may have to clean your floors a couple of times to realize the full effect of the way it cleans. Also, we haven't attempted to use anything else other than Hoover's recommended cleaning solution, and I'd guess from seeing how it performs that it's formulated correctly and one wouldn't want to uses anything else.
