package arrived quickly and well packed. does what it says, the included cable and wall plug seem solid and do their job. No matter what I try though, can't get this to register with the phone (S7 Edge) as a quick charger. It charges at "normal" speed, which for wireless can be upwards of 3 hours depending on how much juice you have when you start. the convenience of just laying the phone to charge it is fulfilled, and for the price I'm keeping the unit; but it's not a quick charger and that's a huge drawback, therefore the 3 stars. I still recommend for the price and because it seems like a solid performer, however it MUST be noted that this is not going to perform as a quick charger.

the wife is all apple, I'm all android (brand agnostic, but sticking to Samsung for the last couple of years). she's got all i-stuff... watch, phone, tablet and a desktop. she'd like a macbook air laptop... I say she can buy it herself if she so wishes. she's been nagging me for a new ipad for a couple of months, Christmas was a great opportunity to gift this to her. I have no patience or appreciation for Apple. I'm writing this review from my 10 year old laptop... it takes a couple of minutes to boot up, but then it keeps going. While at work I'm on my third computer (Mac mini) because you can't upgrade them once they start to become "obsolete".... I work in operations management, the most that computer deals with are spreadsheets and outlook, so I would never buy that for my own personal use. that being said... I've seen the wife struggle with icloud nonsense issues, non-compatible websites on the ipad, and recently her phone was throttled to the point that she had 2 phones exchanged (thank you t-mobile!) until finally changed to a plus version of the phone she has. I've only had to upgrade my android phones when the hardware really became a limitation. anyway, the tablet is fast, works great for the wife, and faster than her previous one which now hbas been donated to our son. if you have the money and love apple, go for it, otherwise I'd stick to windows machines for the heavy lifting, and android devices for tablets, phones and wearables.
Protect your Samsung Galaxy S7 edge against drops with this Tough Armor phone case. for full disclosure I bought this using rewards points, but I would recommend at regular price. that being said, I think it's one of the best compromises for this phone. I bought this phone because of the slim profile, adding any case takes from it, but if you don't protect it you have a cracked screen waiting to happen. Phone already dropped once while in the case, bounced off one corner, landed screenside down, not a scratch, let alone a crack. that already more than makes it worth it for me. the fit is snug without making it difficult to install or remove, and the stand works great and doesn't feel flimsy at all, as I saw on other reviews. It does say on the manual/instructions booklet that when the phone is off the case it might look as if the stand is loose, maybe that's what others saw? the buttons are also well made, you do have to push just a bit harder on the power button, but I don't see any issues with the volume ones. all connector holes and the mic hole work great, the camera works without a problem, and the sensor (for heart rate, if you use it, are not interrupted or interfered with at all) the plastic back has a feel of "metal" to it, seems resistant enough to light scratching (I'm sure it can scratch, it is after all plastic) and it does add a bit more of weight to the phone, which actually I got used to already (had it for about 3 days now) and makes no difference in the comfort level of using the phone. when charging (or intensive tasks, like watching videos) it seems to me to make the phone run a bit hotter than without the case, but that's a personal opinion and sometimes I question it, as it doesn't seem logical. highly recommended overall, has a tough look and feel, and as mentioned earlier already has saved my phone, without it that fall would've at least scratched it, or just plain cracked the entire screen. it was a free fall, 2-3 feet onto concrete, not a scratch on the phone OR the case.

I used to be a full-on geek and would spend hours reading up on devices before buying, then tinkering with them for hours until I found weak points. Not now, with a family and a job that suck up all my "free time" I can't do that as often as before. When I realized that it was time to stop giving money away to comcast for "renting" their modem, a quick search on amazon and best buy narrowed it down for me to 3 devices, and out of them, this one came up on top due to the overall good, solid reviews, the price point, and the feature list. After weeks of use, I'm happy to report NO issues. haven't had any slowdowns or signal drops (used to happen a LOT when using 2 or more devices at a time with Comcast's router). As I'm writing this, my laptop is wireless, wife is streaming videos on the PC (also wireless) an old music player is playing (also wireless) and my little boy is streaming Amazon videos (wired) and nobody seems to have any issues. Oh, my cell phone is also connected and running updates and what not... all smooth sailing. setup was a breeze (less than 15 minutes) and the instructions to make custom adjustments (or just leave the basic setup as is) are clear and to the point. Great product, great performance, and easy to setup and maintain. Also gives you the option to go deeper into the options and setup advanced networking and parental controls. what else can you ask for? it will pay itself in just a few short months, and I'm not tied up to mediocre cable company equipment.

3D works great, thisis our first 3D TV so perhaps others with more experience will have more things to say./compare it to, but for us it works great. the glasses are not uncomfortable and the setup/bootup when you start to watch a 3D movie are easy and clear enough for anyone to get them right the first time. the remote control takes a bit to get used to but it's become second nature to both of us after less than a month using it. it feels natural to point at the screen and the pad is very responsive. Voice search is sketchy (we both have accents though, in its defense) but it's more a gimmick than anything else in our opinion, we don't use it at all. the apps work great, however the constant changes that Samsung does to its hub and its sub-apps is a pain in the neck: case n point, you're supposed to have access to some sort of ultraviolet support for BD movies, but no apps show up to do so. I'm a Samsung/Android guy, but I'm glad that I never went on board with Samsung's attempts at a movie and music service, since they're shutting down. again, on the TV set the apps are present but the notice of discontinuation is there and it's pointless to have something that's being discontinued. the TV itself is gorgeous, no issues at all with picture quality, light or pixilation. it can feel running slow at first when you turn it on, like anything "smart" these days I imagine that on boot the TV checks for updates and all that jazz, so it's noticeable that sometimes the volume will not respond right away, but after a minute or so everything is normal, and it is NOT a constant issue. setup is a breeze, it's awesome that it has Bluetooth (and weird that the feature is not more heavily promoted by Best Buy OR Samsung). it's much better to input info with my generic BT keyboard than with the onscreen keyboard/remote combo. haven't tried pairing a headset, but I imagine it's supported. definitely a strong recommendation from us for this set, awesome features for the price, future proof at least for a few years (I'm not an early adopter, rather an educated buyer of established technologies) so I'm very happy with this TV and the price we paid for it.
