This camera has full manual controls and a lot of extras. My personal favorite feature that makes this better than DSLRs I have tried is the digital viewfinder.
When you are taking shots and have to make quick adjustments, the digital viewfinder is like a heads up display with all your settings in front of you... even a histogram.
What you see in the viewfinder is how the photo will be exposed so there is no need to take the camera away from your face. No more missing shots.
