I first saw the Allman Brothers in a park up in Macon GA back when I was around 10 years old. We would go to south Georgia each summer while school was out and stay with various family members while working to earn extra cash doing odd jobs. During one of these stays my Uncle took us to Macon one Saturday and The Allman Brothers were putting on a free show. This is before they hit the big time. While I was a little young I never forgot that day and loved their music from then forward. The Allman Brothers music is timeless and this DVD utilizes other artists to help Greg bring it home. I have watched and listened to this DVD several times already and it never gets old. My favorites are Vince Gill singing Multi Colored Lady and Jackson Brown and Greg singing Melissa. I heard an interview with Greg recently and he said when Jackson Brown and he sang Melissa, he looked over and Jackson Brown had a big old tear in his eye and it was all Greg could do to start himself.
