Great movie, excellent in 3D

Just stopped by Best Buy last night and picked up this movie. Wow, I was surprised at how good the story was - I was not expecting it to be that good after MIB II was kind of a let down for me. Much more adult-like, with time travel thrown in and an excellent representation of 1969. The young Tommy Lee Jones was spot on with his voice and facial mannerisms, which I was blown away by. But the 3D really made this movie! It felt like you were right there with the MIB, and the big fish mustard scene was awesome in 3D. Better yet was falling from the Chrysler building in 3D - similar to a base jump in 3D - very freaky! I also liked the ending that explained a lot of the history between the two of them - very well done, even if a little sad. Also, there's lots of hidden jokes (watched it twice, caught most of them in the 2nd viewing with Close Captioning on) - i.e., Lady Gaga shown on the "alien screen" at MIB headquarters, and an important meeting with Agent X and the Viagaranians about a new medical breakthrough drug (I would guess Viagara - hahaha.) I bet there's more that I missed - so I'm gonna have to watch it again! Overall, I highly recommend this - it is definitely one of the best 3D movies in my collection.
What's great about it: Great creativity, storyline, explains a lot
I would recommend this to a friend!

They race, they combat and, yes, they even talk. They're your favorite wacky wonders on wheels, and they're back again to tear up roads around the world in an all-new adventure in Cars 2. All the quirky characters from Cars are racing back to your Nintendo Wii for more pedal-pushing, speedometer-busting, engine-revving fun than ever, and it's up to you to steer them to success. Can you speed, spy and skid your way to become the fastest, most daring racecar in the world?Shake off your rust and get into gear for a full-throttle challenge in Cars 2. This time, you'll be training your wheels to become the newest agent of the CHROME (Command Headquarters for Recon Operations & Motorized Espionage). There's a road of dangerous missions and action-packed combat ahead — if you have enough courage fueling your tank. Get behind the wheels of your favorite Cars characters such as Mater and Lightning McQueen, or choose from the newly introduced Finn McMissile and Holly Shiftwell, as you race to become the fastest racecar in the world. Unleash slick driving skills that only Cars characters can like driving backwards, air tricks, two-wheeled driving, sidestepping to avoid obstacles and more. In the world of Disney/Pixar Cars 2, there are no speeding tickets — just a one-way ticket to high-speed fun.

Great racing games for youngsters and adults!

We have the original Cars 1 game for Gamecube and personally, I never liked it because to was kind of hard to figure out what to do (i.e., find some postcards and bring them back...um, no thanks, I'd rather just race the car, thank you very much.) This game is more racing based, and it rocks! Steering can be a challenge from time to time, but with the variety of racing games included it never gets boring. There's Attack mode, Battle mode, Racing mode, Defender mode, etc. So much to choose from. There are different levels that go from easy to hard, and you earn new tracks and cars as you get better. Graphics are great combining a cartoonish feel for the kids with a realistic set of driving locations for us adults. The airplane location is cool as the planes take off right over your car and you better get out of the way or else the wind will spin you around or flip you upside down. Attack mode is really fun as you either bump into cars next to you or pick up weapons and shoot them at the cars in front of you or behind you. I love the explosions..... haha.... brings out my "wanna blow something up" side. Really an A+++ game. I enjoyed playing it with my son and after he went to bed, I played for several hours more (shhhh, don't tell the wife.) On the higher levels, it gets really hard to meet the minimum requirements when playing Squad mode, and when you don't get at least 3rd place, it only gives you one option which is to exit, then asks "Are you sure you want to exit?" Hmmm.... isn't that my only option? Duh. Whatever. So anyway, I wish it were just a bit easier on the higher levels 5 & 6. And like I said before, sometimes the car is hard to steer, especially when you come up to a hard turn, you turn the controller all the way around and the car still goes straight, but that only happens once in a while, and it's probably because my big adult hands are covering the sensor on the end of the Wii remote. It never happened to my 8-year old son (much to his delight, as he beat me several times because of that.) Overall, we both love this game and now have something else we can both play together, as I really can't stand his Pokemon and Lego games that he always wants to play. My advice, go get it. You won't be disappointed.
What's great about it: Fun, lots of levels, lots of modes, good for kids and adults
What's not so great: Steering is sometimes difficult, higher levels get really hard
I would recommend this to a friend!
