Perfect presentation remote

I'm a student who needed a presentation remote for a class presentation. I chose this remote because of a good experience with one over the summer and I liked it enough that I bought one for myself.
The laser pointer is very bright, and looks very cool, as it is green instead of red.
The button layout is very comfortable, which makes using it during a presentation very easy.

After waiting and waiting, reading review after review, I finally purchased these Bose noise-cancelling headphones. The first thing I noticed upon wearing these for the first time was how comfortable they were on my head. I also like how compact they are when put away. And, the detachable cord is a great feature that has saved me from tearing it off when I forget that I'm wearing headphones.
The noise-cancelling effect is great! I barely hear the vacuum cleaner or noisy window air conditioner. Oh, and for anyone who says that because they can hear people talking with these on that the noise-cancelling feature doesn't "work" are very mistaken. First, "noise" means random, unorganized sound, while "speaking" is precisely the opposite: organized sounds. So, yes, you can sort of hear people talking but it's hardly a case for not loving these.

Audio Cord
I notice that the product description states the cord is NOT detachable but when I look at the pictures, I notice that the headphones have an audio jack which I'm assuming acts as a plug for the audio cord. So which is it? Can I take the cord off of the headphone and use them independently???
You can use without the cord ( so, yes, cord is detachable). However, this only provides noise-cancelling affect with no audio because the cord is unplugged (obviously).
