I bought this keyboard because I liked the fact that it has a long battery life, is rechargeable, and has lighted keys. Plus I didn't want to always be typing like I'm texting (using the touch screen keyboard). The only drawback to the product IMO is that it could be molded in a heavier plastic. I haven't had any issues with it though and I take care of it.

I purchased this iPad to use at work rather than having to lug a laptop around everywhere. Spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and word documents run seemlessly on it with the free Apple software/Apps or you can use Microsoft office 365. I downloaded both on my unit to compare and it just comes down to which one you are used to working with. Both are powerhouses. The iPad has excellent battery life and is extremely light weight. I would suggest getting a protective case for it and buying an extended service plan to (just in case you accidentally break it, etc)

Was able to get the iPad 16 gig w/Retina display for a very good price. At first I was concerned that it may not have good battery life. Now that I've had it a couple months, I'm blown away at its performance and the battery life too. Thanks Apple and Best Buy!
What's great about it: Touchscreen is extremely responsive and clarity is best I've seen on any tablet yet.
What's not so great: Can we say N/A! Great Apple product.

You only need to use your router if you need wireless connections or are connecting multiple hardware to your internet as this is only a modem
