This is an excellent purchase for what most people need a tablet for....checking email, reading online content, watching streaming video, etc. It's also adequate for basic gaming.The large screen is clear and easy to read. As other reviews have noted the wi-fi may very briefly dropout, but it's really not a problem. For the price paid, I am very happy with this purchase.

Wonderful Laptop at a Great Price

This is bought to replace an aging 4 year old laptop. The computer is very quick and responsive. The large screen looks good as well. For general use, this is a very good computer. My only complaint is that for most people, upgrading this laptop would be difficult, as the entire computer has to be taken apart to get to the hard drive and the memory. My initial plan was to upgrade to a SSD and more memory, but since the machine is quick enough for now,and that the warranty is void if the user opens up the case, I'll wait a while. However, I think that most users will be happy with the standard hardware (which is why I didn't deduct a star). Overall, a very good laptop for everyday use.

I bought this to replace a 5 year old 50 inch Samsung plasma TV. I didn't need the smart functions (I have a Roku and a connected bluray player) nor 3D. The TV is in a finished basement with no windows with lights that can be dimmed. Out of the box, the picture is not very good - just change it from standard to movie, and change warm2 to warm 1 - the picture quality is excellent with incredible black levels! I can't comment on the sound, as I have it hooked up to an 11.1 speaker sound system. I think that you would have to pay at least double the price of this tv to get even close to its pq on a LED tv.. If you can control the light in your room, get this TV before plasma is dead.

If I buy a new HP desktop Intel core i3 with Windows 8.1, which Microsoft Office version do I need?
Need to replace my HP desktop. Thinking of buying a new HP either desktop Core i3 with 4 or 6GB with 64 Bit OS, but since I already purchased Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 last Dec, is this MS Off 2013 Prof Plus software compatible with Windows 8.1? If not, which Microsoft Office version would you recommend? Need Outlook, Word, Excel, PPoint and Publisher.
MS office should easily run without problems. Of course, increased RAM will allow you to work with more complex documents, but what you described should work just fine.
