Will this work if you don't subscribe to cable TV?
I purchased an LED (1080 by LG) for my mom but she doesn't subscribe to cable TV and I can't figure out how to get her local channels to come through on this new TV. Do I need to purchase an HDMI cable AND this box? Will having both of them fix the problem?!
No, this box will not help you get local channels, you need to by a digital converter box, this will convert the signal from her antenna to digital. I think that you can also purchase a set top digital antenna.
