Bought to replace an Onkyo unit that stopped working after about 12 years. It was an open box item, but no issues with it either cosmetically or in its workings. Now all of our devices hooked up through the hdmi ports, the sound is far superior to what we thought to be great before, and has many capabilities we are still figuring out. It was the display unit from what I gather, but it enabled us to get a great deal on a unit for our needs.

Great drive! Super fast with 2016 MBP

Bought this drive for a specific purpose of using as an external drive for Logic Pro, and the speed is incredible - there is no drop off in performance, at least noticeable on my end, in having all of the extras and working project files on this drive (via sym links). My jaw dropped when I transferred ~40GB (yes, GB) in less than 2 min to this drive (From internal drive). I pair it with the Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Cable which I got on sale at the time since I didn't want to buy more USB C adapters. It's small and light weight, easy to bring around and use when I'm working in Logic!

Great Device - mostly used as wireless display

Not used as much for streaming , though when I have it has done well. I like the remote, though it took a little getting used to, but have grown to like it a lot when needed. My primary use is to have it as a wireless display for my MacBook Pro (2011) for music lyrics and presentations (OpenLP, Keynote, slideshows) and/or my iPad mini 4 (OnSong, VLC, Keynote, etc), in which all use cases have been great.

Can I hook up a DIRECTV box through the hdmi to watch a fight?
Yes, but depending on the DirecTV box capabilities, it might shrink the screen to fake the HD resolution the box is putting out due to the projector only being 800*600 (Your DirecTV box is most likely 1920*1080 by comparison - your shrinking the picture with this projector) Also, you'll only be able to have audio from projector speaker unless you buy an additional HDMI audio splitter to run the audio to your surround sound or other source - there is no audio out on this specific model.
