Terrific router!

I've owned this router for 3 years and it's been the absolute best router that I have ever owned. I have had two Linksys routers, a Microsoft and another Netgear prior to this one and none of them have lasted as long. Port forwarding is simple to navigate and it's just been reliable. I am beginning to see signs that it may be failing now as I have had to reboot it twice in the past 10 days or so. I will buy another though.

I don't know that I'd call the Sony MDR-1A a "perfect" headphone because quite frankly I doubt that such an animal exists. And even if it did I'm pretty sure I couldn't afford it or even justify the cost. While I DO like to enjoy a variety of different headphones I have a modest budget and I try to stick within it, usually purchasing products when I find an excellent price. This has been the case with my purchase of this fine headphone.
I purchased the international version of the MDR-1A from an e-merchant on Sunday August 21, 2016 at 8:00 PM and they arrived from Hong Kong on Wednesday around 11:00 AM. Obviously I haven't had enough time to burn them in and I do expect for the sound to change a little bit as I wear them more and more but they sound terrific right out of the box. I just can't find any serious fault with these headphones. They are quite attractive in an understated way, a simple black with just the right amount of flash from the addition of the red banding around the ear cups. The Sony Logo is well done, also. But what really does it for me with these headphones is the superior comfort level when I put them on my melon.
While un-boxing these for the first time I immediately noticed something a bit different with these headphones than any of my others. While the ear
cups aren't any thicker than many others, they have a bit of a beveled contour to them which allows them to sit just perfect on your head. Furthermore, the cups swivel in just about every conceivable way upon your head so that they should fit just about anybody. I can see where it may be a bit of a challenge for those with smaller heads to get them to feel secure but this hasn't been an issue for me. They are extremely comfortable. I asked my wife if she could hear them while listening to music about as loud as I would ever listen and she told me that she could but that it wasn't loud outside of the headphones.
So how do they sound? Well, as mentioned I haven't had them long enough to let them work their magic but in a nutshell, they sound really good. Being a closed back headphone I wasn't really expecting a great big sound stage but I find them to be more than adequate. Bass is punchy and very good driven with the Fiio E10K Portable DAC. I don't find it overly boomy like you'll hear with a Beats headphone, though I'd never buy such a headphone. The mid-range is nice and it will get better I'm sure as these open up. The top end is crisp and clear, I think overall this is a well balanced headphone.
I try to buy different types of headphones rather than concentrating on hearing every product known to man, mainly due to budget concerns. My headphones range in MSRP between the range of $200-400 generally (that MSRP often times drops over time), although I try to hold off until I can score a better than average deal and for the $169 that I paid for these Sony cans I'd say I got a pretty good deal on a very nice pair of headphones.
So should you buy them? I giggle every time I hear somebody ask "which one is better?" or "should I buy Brand X or Brand Z?" and it's not as easy to listen to all the various offerings in a day and age where the brick and mortar stores that carried these products have gone out of business, but if you are looking for a headphone in this price range then the Sony MDR-1A is a solid choice and you could do far worse. As for me, these are keepers!

Very happy with this phone.

My wife and I recently purchased these phones at a local Best Buy store. She is replacing a nearly 3 year old LG phone that would no longer turn ON/OFF while I have replaced a 15 month old Nokia Windows phone. My Windows phone had served me well until recently when it began rebooting at random times and displaying social media posts repeatedly. It became quite maddening and I decided that I had better do something about it.
We're not power users of our cell phone by any means and neither of us know how to use each and every function on this phone yet but we both love it. First of all the size is excellent for people like us who are in our mid 50's and don't see things as we did in our 20's, and it feels good in the hand. It's a very lightweight phone, though we have both puchased hard protective cases that make them feel surprisingly more substantial. The display is big and bold and very easy to see and I really like the larger keyboard keys. If you have larger hands or fat fingers you will too. The included stylus works like a dream and is super handy although I don't like to use it to type/text. It just seems quicker to do that using the thumbs.
The LG G Stylo 2 features a 13 MP rear facing camera that I have found to be pretty darn good. It's certainly far superior to any phone camera that I have ever had, although it works best with ample lighting. The front facing 5 MP camera should suffice for all those who love taking "selfies". The 2GB RAM is quite an upgrade over the G Stylo, which is a less expensive phone. I think that it's well worth the price difference to buy the G Stylo 2. And I like the new Android Marshmallow OS as well. Perhaps my favorite feature of this mid-line phone is the battery. It charges from completely dead to full charge very quickly and the battery life is exceptional. I can use my phone for 6-7 hours and take it in at the end of the day with about 40% battery life remaining, but then again I'm not using a whole lot in the way of different apps so your mileage may vary.
I've never wished to spend several hundred dollars on a phone. I've always thought a cheap phone could plop itself in the toilet as effectively as a more expensive one when it fell out of my shirt pocket and I still feel that way. On the other hand it can be said that you get what you pay for and in the case of my old phone, 15 months use is really not all that terrific. I'm sure that there are better phones available if you're willing to spend a little bit more but my wife and I determined our budget and our needs and settled on this LG. I think it's a reasonable buy and would recommend it. We are very much pleased.

My thoughts are a bit mixed...

I bought this television this morning to replace a 4 1/2 year old Samsung 50 inch plasma that had a mind of it's own. It kept going to a black screen and changing the input from "Component" to "PC" and I didn't have a PC connected to it. We've had this problem before and it was a $300 repair and I didn't wish to go through that again.
My wife and I set out to buy the 55 inch version of this TV. It was shown on the website to be in stock and available to pick up at my local Best Buy store and on sale for $499, but we were told that they had none in stock. Upon arriving home I checked the Best Buy web site again and saw that it was shown as being available for pick up today. I checked the site again 7 hours later and now it shows that it's unavailable. Are you kidding me? In this day and age when we have computers and you sell a ton of them? That's garbage!
I needed a TV so we chose this one. It's smaller and I really wanted something just a bit larger but after spending considerable time this afternoon running through the settings and figuring this out to some extent I figured I'd leave a few remarks about the actual product. I would also like to suggest that you pay attention to a couple of things here because I suspect at least a possibility that I might be able to assist.
First of all I am NO expert with televisions. My understanding is of vintage audio gear and I am completely challeneged when it comes to modern technology other than computers. That said, I read every single negative review about this TV and the 55 inch and I just shake my head. I say that because there are some reviews that specifically mention having a poor picture, but I suspect it's possible that some of those folks didn't spend enough time to figure out the menu or the settings.
I wasn't initially impressed with this TV in the least. It appeared "distorted" and "blurry", and I found that the problem was in the Setup Menu. I have a cable box here and it provides HD. The setup menu gives a choice of CABLE or ANTENNA. I chose CABLE at first, but then tried the ANTENNA setting and the picture quality became outstanding. I'm still working on the adjustments for color and tint and all that other jazz, but I'm getting close. Football is on tonight so I am on a mission!
Will it last? I don't know. But what does these days? I would have thought that my $1000 plasma would have lasted longer as the old boat anchors did. I grew up in a day and age when electronics were big and heavy, built of steel and wood and made to last. They were also pricey. The first 50" high definition TV I ever saw cost 10 grand! I think there are a whole lot of people out there who ask the world and want to pay as little as possible.

Mistype... I should have said that initially I selected the "antenna" setting, and that I then ran through the set-up again and selected the "Cable" setting.

I have a very basic home studio that i record in and play an electronic drum kit very often, I would be using these for both recording/mixing and playing the e-kit. Any objections to that or should I be pretty happy with these?

Truthfully I can't imagine anyone not loving these headphones. They offer supreme comfort and they just do so many things right. I'm 55 years old and so my hearing might not be as great as it was as a young Buckeroo but these sound glorious to my ears. There is a well defined tight bass punch that isn't lacking by any means, a smooth detailed mid-range and a crisp high end that I find very non fatiguing. I've only had mine a few days but have put about 25 hours on them to this point and I believe they sound better today than right out of the box so if you choose these please give them some time. They will sound good out of the box but will get better. As for the drums, I'd venture to say that these will suit your needs just fine, especially if you have something powering them other than a cell phone. They aren't noise canceling headphones but they do an OK job of keeping outside noise at bay while not bothering others.
