It is an overblown full out rediculous action picture. If that's all you want in a movie, well THE GREAT WALL has got exactly what you're looking for. Bravery, ingenuity, good looks and common sense is all you need to stand up to rabid monsters and win the gratitude of The Ancient Chinese Empire. Check your brain out when you put that bluray in and you'll have one heck of a fun ride.

I've been collecting this show from the start and won't stop now. Still, I'm very disappointed that this season they stopped releasing it on bluray (I have both seasons 1&2 on bluray), but now they have stopped that format. If I had known then I wouldn't have invested in the bluray format from the start. Same thing happened with the series TURN: WASHINGTON SPIES, only I stopped following that one completely when they dropped the bluray format after season one.

You will be taking an adventure like you would experience a seat-belted classic roller coaster from that first click of the securely locked safety bar, then comes that mounting ascent of anticipation, tipping over and down through all of the twists, turns, and surprising sensations until your car finally comes to a satisfying halt at the end of the ride. So until that next masterpiece comes along, how about a thrill ride in the meantime? You could do worse.

A comedy with a tender heart

In today's world it is more common than not to realize that all of the best comedic bits were in the trailer and the actual film is a painful disappointment. That's not the case with WHY HIM. The preview doesn't even scratch the surface of the experience that awaits. Great casting, great acting, and yes, the script is over the top, but the laughs come from out of the story, not jammed into it. Ultimately the message, and there is one, is of accepting differences, if those differences come from a place of love. There is lots of over-the-top cringe-worthy zaniness beyond even the most liberal of tolerant comfort zones, but check your eyes for tear drops during the final wrap up. No one is more surprised than I was by how much I loved this ride.
