saved me HOURS

I had purchased a "wireless" back up camera to install on my ancient Tacoma pickup. The installation manual that came with the unit was worthless, essentially no information. I went to the manufacturer web page, and it was some better, but the obvious errors in the illustrations. So having professional help was going to be crucial.
Making the appointment was very easy, and I arrived as scheduled. There was a slight wait, less than 15 minutes, while the prior customer was finishing up. The technician was very courteous and listened to my desired goal, where I wanted the monitor mounted, etc. He pointed out that he would choose NOT to install this as a wireless unit (which I thought would have been simpler) but his experience was the picture on the monitor is degraded by lots of electrical interference in most of the installs that he had performed. I valued that advice and went with his recommendation. The fee was the same, so made no difference to me. The installation was quicker than estimated, the job was very professional, it has worked flawlessly, and I find it very nice to see out the back of my pickup, esp helpful with parking and parking lot maneuvering. I would never have gotten this done, pulling the dash, hooking into the electrical system, etc. What was I thinking?? I would try to talk anyone out of doing this install on your own; unless you're skilled at such events. I know that I would have spent 6-8 hours to do this, with a much less likely to have a satisfactory outcome. It does not matter if you bought the unit at Best Buy, although in retrospect, I could have used some guidance when picking the model to buy.

It is so nice to be able to walk into a room and turn on the 3 table lamps with a spoken command rather than moving from lamp to lamp. The iPhone Hue app is great (and needed to control the color options; I haven't figured out how to choose the "scenes" that the app provides via our Google Home). On leaving the house, "turn off all lights" saves having to check upstairs for an errant electricity waster.

My 9th Nest Protect!

I have 5 at my house and this is the 4th at my daughter's. She had a failed smoke alarm at her home (recently purchased after a complete remodel) and there were new smoke detectors installed by code. But they were junk, albeit a "famous" brand commonly seen at the home improvement store. Two had started "peeping" despite new 9v batteries, so they were my first "housewarming " gift to her. But this last month, a alarm sounded while she was at the grocery. Her neighbor heard the alarm, knocked on the door of the empty house, and with no answer, called the Fire Dept. The FD arrived, jimmied the basement window, and removed the falsely alarming detector, leaving a gracious note. So she got another upgrade, and has another smoke/monoxide detector that will send her a message on her phone if there is an alert, rather than hoping a neighbor hears the alarm. Eventually we will replace them all with Nests!!

the lack of a headphone jack was a complete non-issue for me. Any "headphone" listening that I do is via Bluetooth. This phone is fast, has a greatly increased battery life (I was originally considering a battery incorporated case, like a Morphie or Apple's brand case, for extra battery life) but after a half marathon with Nike Run Club app as my GPS and Spotify as my music stream (and a slow 2 hr 30 min finish) I still had 85% battery still left. My iPhone 6 would have died at mile 10! And the Touch ID is MUCH improved; responds almost instantly. I had decided that the TouchID on the iPhone 6 was almost more trouble than it was worth; it would fail to recognize my fingerprint at least 25% of the time, so after three or four "Try Again" prompts, I would tap in the 7 digit access code. As more Apps become TouchID aware, this is a huge benefit! So if you're on the fence as to whether an upgrade is worth it, make the leap --> you won't be disappointed!

I admit it: I'm an Apple fan. Heck, I even own Apple stock (wagering my retirement IRA on it). But outside sources, such as Consumer Reports, consistently rank Apple's customer service as without equal. So having the choice between Geek Squad and AppleCare is a nice option. I went with AppleCare. GeekSquad would be a close second. I think the Verizon brand "monthly insurance" charges are overpriced, with high co-pays for damage repairs. Your mileage may vary.

I purchased a new iPhone 7 at the retail BestBuy. Being a new model, the choice of cases were somewhat limited (I have been a LifeProof user in the past, but wonder if the bulk is worth it, now that the iPhone is more water resistant?). So to protect from scratches and the rare slip from my fingers (I have never damaged a phone since my original iPhone 3G model, but have family members not so lucky, usually cracked screens). I picked this case up, BestBuy's store brand Insignia. And I like it a lot! It is low profile, has a grippy feel, not obtrusive, easily put on the phone. I guess you might be able to find a cheaper toner cartridge, with a "re manufactured" source. My home usage, however, is not that great so the cost savings just is not worth the risk of downtime inconvenience. If the printer doesn't work, for example, right now in the middle of tax time, and I need to download statements from the brokerage and credit card companies, then all progress comes to a standstill. I am just confident and assured that HP brand is the way to go. And Best Buy with 15% off makes it the cheapest source I can reliably find.

sometimes you need a bit more aggressive attack on the surface, and that is where this stiff brush really helps. It is a bit pricey for a single attachment, but when the dog comes in with unsuspected dirt on the paws, this is the perfect fix. I love the Dyson "animal" DC59 and this really rounds out the limited number of attachments that came with that vacuum.

I bought a back up camera for my suv from wal mart. Was wondering if the geek squad .can install it for me?
yes, they are happy to do the job for you. I just had a backup camera installed in a vintage Toyota (1996) and they did a professional job. The camera was one purchased from Amazon, their "deal of the day" about 2 years ago and just now getting around to getting it installed.
