Best Bang For Buck

I've owned over a dozen different Android phones over the past several years. My first being the Samsung Captivate and last being the Galaxy S6 Edge. The Asus Zenfone 2e is a great value at $99 and a can't be beat value at the sale price of $55. The cameras are very good for a budget smartphone and the phone itself feels very good in the hand. The interface isn't as heavily skinned as your Samsung devices and much closer to a stock android experience. It has Android Lollipop OS and runs it very well. Screen is very nice and has a decent brightness. It has the ability to add a micro sd card for extra storgage, I believe up to 32gb but there is a way to format a 64gb to make it work also. (just google it) I did that for one of my other budget smartphones that supposedly only supported up to 32gb micro sd and it worked perfectly. The volume buttons will take a bit getting used to as Asus followed LG by putting them on the back of the phone. Good thing about this position is you don't accidentally hit the up or down volume while holding the device. I would highly recomment putting some sort of case on this phone due to the fact that there isn't much of a bezel to absord any impact from a fall. I found this out the hard way on my first one. You can find plenty of nice TPU cases for under $10 online. I invested in a clear TPU and a tempered glass screen protector and got both for under $17 shipped. The phone also includes two backs. One black and one white which I thought was very nice of Asus. Overall i'd highly recommend this smartphone if you are on a budget and don't want to pay $30 a month for 30months on a next plan. Very good phone for a child but like I said earlier, make sure to put a case of some sort on it. If you're on the fence about whether to get this or not, get it. Especially if it's on sale. It's worth the $99 but can't be passed up at a sale price.

Great protection for those who work outside.

First the good. 1. Has protected my phone from damage from drops and moisture on many occasions. 2. Much slimmer than an otterbox defender which isn't waterproof.
Now the bad. 1. Built in screen protector does not lay flat on screen and is wavy so it ruins the feel of the touch. 2. The headphone port plug is not tethered to case so can be lost easily. 3. Speakerphone volume is seriously hindered. 4. Charge port size will limit your charging options with case on.
Summary. If you work outside and around water I recommend this case. If you value function you may want to try one of the nuud lifeproof cases as there isn't a wavy screen protector to mess up the feel of phone and the plug for headphone jack it tethered. I personally will keep either a fre or nuud on all my iphones or galaxy phones because of my work environment and the 90-100 dollars for this case is cheaper than my $200 mobile insurance deductible. I only keep my mobile insurance now because it covers loss/theft.
What's great about it: The case has protected my iPhone on numerous occasions from drops to concrete from chest high and ditch water.
What's not so great: Screen not as sensitive and protector doesn't lay flat, its kind of wavy.

Great For Those That Work Outside
on February 21, 2013

First off, I work outside so I need a case that will repell moisture, dust, dirt etc. This case has done all of those things for me. I've used it for about a month now and the only complaint I have is the muffled speakerphone mode. I knew of this issue going into the purchase but that minor thing didn't outweigh the protection it gives. Buttons all work and feel great, the headphone adapter could be a pain but I have bluetooth headphones and a bluetooth capable car stereo that I listen to music through so have never unscrewed the plug except to disassemble case. Best thing about this case is the feel and size. It slides in and out of my pocket easily and has a great feel. Make sure you buy one from an authorized dealer or you will end up with a fake.
What's great about it: Complete protection from the environment.
What's not so great: If you use speakerphone a lot you may not like this case.

Great Inexpensive Bluetooth For My Car Stereo
on January 26, 2013

Type of Listener:Avid listener
Most Important to Purchase:Sound quality
How Often Used:Daily
Super small, good sound. It connected to my iPhone 5 with no hassels whatsoever. I can't really tell a difference in sound between this and my aux cord I used. Also, you can use it while it's on charge, if you have it on and then plug the charger in it may shut off, just push the button to turn it back on and it's good to go. Only bad things I think are the fact it doesnt charge by a standard micro or mini usb cable, but by it's own round one, so don't lose your charge cord! The aux cable leaving the device is kind of thin also, so don't be rough with it. I plan on using some velcro to keep it near the car radios aux input so I shouldn't have to worry about the cord wearing out from the units weight pulling down on it. Highly recommend for somebody looking for an inexpensive way to stream music over bluetooth to their cars aux input. This will tide me over until I decide to change out my head unit to one that has built-in bluetooth.
What's great about it: Easy to use, sounds great.
What's not so great: Wish it charged by a standard mini or micro usb. Cord for jack is thin.

Great reinvention of the Judge Dredd franchise.

I was a bit skeptical of the newest version of Judge Dredd. I collected the comics way back and was a bit disappointed in the first Judge Dredd movie with Stallone. The new movie is much more gritty and has a more "real" feel to it. The story and actors are great and I found myself wanting more when this film was over. I truly hope that they make this a trilogy as was originally planned even though the box office takes were less than expected. I think once people see this on bluray, dvd or ppv they will most likely go see the sequel in theaters. If you're a Judge Dredd fan or not I recommend this action flick!
What's great about it: Story, characters.
What's not so great: Nothing comes to mind.

Best price and features in a smartphone!
on December 16, 2012

Age:35-44
Phone size:Just right
Where to start. First off, i'm not a "fanboy" of one mobile OS over another, the two dominant OS's being Android and iOS. I've had and used iPhone 3gs, 4s and messed around with my wifes iPhone 5. Now that that is out of the way, this is hands down my favorite smartphone to date! The screen is gorgeous and does not strain my eyes like my iPhones did. For me the 4.8" screen is the perfect size. I have smaller hands (work glove size 10) and still am able to easily navigate the phones screen with one hand. If you stick a case on it that is bulky, like say a defender, you porbably will not like the size though. I found that the much smaller Commuter or even the Ballistic Slim work very well and offer great drop protection. Some people say that it's "too plastic". A great benefit of todays plastics is the weight to strength ratio. Also the plastics "flex" a bit rather than just break. If you put it in a case which I suggest for any smartphone, the plastic back shouldn't be an issue. Another reason for the plastic back is that the NFC technology will not work through a metal back. People who purchased the neat aluminum replacement backs found this out. The picture quality is super and I love the PANORAMA photo setting! The sync and back up of your phone over shared wifi to your computer through a much improved Keis is a nice feature that is basically Samsungs version of the itunes backup/sync. The speaker will go very loud without distortion, headphone jack is on top of device WHERE IT SHOULD BE! Flash works great. Since the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1 update I have noticed the phone works even smoother than it already did. I'm on AT&T and got the update through Keis since it appears ATT is dragging on the over the air update. You can also pick up a micro sd card up to 64gb and make this phone have a total of 80gb of storage! Plenty of room for all your music and videos and unlike other OS's you don't have to go through a sync procedure, you can add files to the device by plugging it in to computer and simply copy/paste. If you are going from an iOS device be warned, there is a learning curve for android. This is because the OS allows you to do so much more than iOS does. I was ready to bring back my first android froyo device after a week because I was used to iOS and it's simplistic interface. I resisted that urge and now I wouldn't trade my Galaxy S3 for anything except maybe a Galaxy S4 when they arrive! If this is your first smartphone there will be no such transition and there are tons of youtube tutorials on how to use some of the cooler features of the device. Oh, and the built in navigation is super. I compared it to my wifes iPhone 5 and sorry, the Galaxy S3 wins hands down. In the end, for the price, features and ability to customize your device with live wallpapers, widgets that update your facebook feeds, espn scores, weather, etc. you won't find a better device. And oh yes, it DOES have Corning Gorilla Glass 2 which is very very scratch resistant. (I still use a screen protector though)
What's great about it: Freedom to customize and get content from outside sources other than the market!
What's not so great: Slight learning curve, not as dummy proof as, say, an ios device.

Very simple setup, insert the provided disc, follow the prompts and you're up and running in no time flat. Even setup manually is easy and instructions are very clear.
As far as performance, works just as I expected. I have 2 laptops, 2 iPads, 3 desktops a xbox, ps3, and bluray player all goin through this router and I handles traffic fine.
What's great about it: Ease of setup and performance for dollar.
What's not so great: It can't increase my Internet speed, lol.

This router is a piece of junk. Had to be re-set about every six hours. Poor signal propagation pattern! Tech support blamed ISP. ISP blamed router. Bought Cisco router at ISP suggestion. Problems GONE!

Simple fix
January 13, 2012
I had the problem of losing connection also, turned out that under lan settings you need to make sure to turn on RIP-2B. It's supposed to be on by default but mine was disabled for some reason. Once I did this it solved the lost internet connection.

Not useful for boot camp fitness
By Aport
I spoke direct with an in store Apple rep who stared this watch was equal to or better than its competition for fitness. Promised accuracy would amaze me, disappointed because it doesn't come close to other products do via a wrist application. Mine is always way off in comparison to several other gym partners who were similar devices, wouldn't suggest this for a true fitness person wanted good info output. Apple disappointed me on the watch so far, going to buy a Garnen.

Are you sure that it's not your fitness partners devices that are off? Unless you are using an actual certified medical device to compare it to yours could be off a hair one way, theirs a hair the other way which would give the appearance of a large inaccuracy. Just food for thought.
