A lot of shaver for the money

I have tried electric shavers on occasion over the years and have never found one that gave me as good a shave as my disposable no-tech regular double-bladed razor. That said, the 6800 is the closest I’ve come to a shave using my usual razor….a pleasant surprise!
The triple-headed 6800 can be used on dry skin, wet skin, or with shaving cream/gel. Having tried all three methods, I found: wet is better than dry, and shaving/gel is better than wet. With the dry method, I expected discomfort and a lousy shave…wrong. It wasn’t ideal, but it provided a fairly good shave. The wet method helps the razor heads to glide better on the skin, and the results are better. Using cream/gel takes more time due to application on the skin and then the cleanup following the shave. However, for the shave you get, it is worth the time. Also, the triple shaving heads are easy on the skin, a definite asset. With a little practice, you can even trim your sideburns with the multiple heads. If you aren’t comfortable with that, the 6800 has a trimmer attachment that you can use instead of the regular shaving heads. If you shave in the shower, the 6800 works there, too.
Before using the shaver, be sure to fully charge the battery. If you do, there will be approximately an hour of power. So, unless you take a very long time for each shave, you should get several from a single charge.
Though it won’t make me throw away my no-tech razors just yet, there is a lot to like about the 6800. It can be a timesaver, if you need a quick shave. Also, if just a touch up is needed, it will come in very handy. For travel, you can take it along without having to pack a pressurized can. And, by the way, it is reasonably priced.
While the 6800 does not provide as close a shave as a manual razor, it does a really good job! I like it and would recommend it. It is a lot of shaver for the money!

There is a lot to like about the Flare before you even use it. It looks good, it charges comparatively quickly, and it paired in seconds to my Echo Show! Then, if the listening experience doesn’t amaze you, possibly you aren’t really listening.
The 360-degree speaker puts out sound that is so crisp and clean you can hear the music as if it were live in an auditorium with excellent acoustics. Walk around it, and you will find no diminishing of sound quality. From the start, the Flair exceeded my expectations. If you particularly like to hear prominent bass notes, the speaker has a BassUp Mode to give it a boost. If you want bass that will shake the walls, this won’t do it for you; however, if you simply want more bass accent, it works just fine.
Battery time is advertised as up to 12 hours. I can’t attest to that, but I can say I have had it in play for several hours on a full charge on more than one occasion, and it is still hasn’t needed a recharge.
To add to the very attractive physical appearance, the Flare has a multi-colored lighted base. It can be turned off, on with a solid color, or displaying changing colors. Also, this function can be customized to your taste, using the Soundcore app. Bear in mind use of the light is going to use battery power, thus shortening listening time. That said and given the battery power, if you want to add to the ambiance, let the lights dance!
Other nice features are:
1. It is water resistance up to 3 feet.
2. Two Flairs can be paired together so the music can be enjoyed in a wide area setting or simply enhancing listening in a smaller setting.
3. There is a built-in microphone to enable phone call response.
4. It comes at a very low price compared to many other brands with high quality sound.

Great Little Scanner

The ES-50 is a small portable document scanner that works quite well in turning documents into searchable PDF files. It is possibly the lightest portable scanner on the market. The ES-50 is easy to use, single-sheet-feed scanning is fast, and optical scan resolution is 600dpi. It is versatile in that not only can you feed documents up to 8.5” x 72,” you can feed business cards, receipts, and the like. Download the applicable software for either Windows or Mac devices, plug in the USB cable to your computer, and it’s ready to go.
There is a lot to like about the ES-50, but it isn’t perfect. While the scanner is portable based on size and weight, it must be USB cable connected to your computer for it to operate. No Wi-Fi! If a wireless connection is not needed or desired, this one is for you. If it is important to “cut the cord,” get the ES-50’s big brother, the ES-60W. Either way, you can’t go wrong with Epson.
Judging the ES-50 totally on its own merits (lack of Wi-Fi not being held against it), I do recommend it for the ease of operation and the quality output.

I am and have been for years a Samsung fan: TVs, Galaxy phones, Galaxy tablets, smart watch, etc. The SmartThings Tracker is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed in a Samsung product!
Once the tracker is fully charged and you’ve downloaded the SmartThings app, you can begin set up. Already having the app, the pairing with my Galaxy S8+ phone was quick, and the tracking system was ready to go. The communication between you the phone and tracker is done via an AT&T connection (4G LTE) which is provided free of charge for one year ($50/yr. afterward). No set up is required, as it is ready to go as soon as you connected the Tracker to your phone.
The tracker is small and very light weight. It can be carried in a pocket or, using the small enclosed lanyard connected to one long enough, it can be hung around the neck.
Getting the tracker set up and ready to go is the best I can say about it. Using it is another story. First, it located my home geolocation fairly well, but it kept entering a street address that is not in my neighborhood. I entered my address into the mapping, but it kept reverting to an incorrect address. After half dozen or so times, I gave up on it showing my address.
The first time the tracker was used, it showed part of its journey accurately; however, it also showed travel in directions that were opposite of the actual travel. The second time it was used it totally left out one major portion of the route. So, if you are trying to find the love one carrying the tracker, there’s no assurance you’ll find a correct location or route of travel. That pretty much renders it useless.
This tracker is not up to Samsung’s usual high quality at all. Hopefully, they will come up with a much improved and reliable version for what is a great concept.

The name “NINJA Smart Screen Blender DUO with FRESHVAC Technology” is a monster of a name for a monster of a machine. It's big, bold, powerful, sturdy, and has many options for use.
When you open the box, you’ll find lots of items to facilitate the Ninja’s many uses. There’s a 72oz. pitcher with some scary “Total Crushing” blades (Be very careful handling!), two 20oz. containers with lids for individual servings, a second blade set for use with the smaller containers, and an easy to use battery operated (also with cord for plug in operation) vacuum pump to vacuum-seal the various containers to keep contents fresh and flavorful when stored in the refrigerator. A very nice feature of all these parts, except the motor of course, is they are machine washable.
The 1400W motor will pretty much pulverize any food type you put in it, including ice, hence those scary blades. Make some smoothies, chop some veggies, make beverages that include crushed ice, etc., this monster NINJA breezes through it. My first operation with it was to make smoothies, and it did the job probably 3x faster than my older conventional blender. From ingredients to smoothie in seconds!
Another very nice feature is the base unit’s touch screen that has pre-sets for seven of the most common uses: smoothies, frozen drinks, shakes, etc. I found the pre-sets to be pretty much spot on. It may look like a monster, but don’t judge it by appearance. Once you’ve used it enough to be comfortable, you will see it’s your new best friend for any food processing job needed!
This is my first NINJA experience, and it won’t be my last!

Dell has come a long way from the trunk of Michael Dell’s car in Austin, TX years ago. Dell laptops often come at a healthy cost, but they are usually worth the investment. This new Inspiron 15 (Model 7586) proves to be a good example.
The 7586 comes well loaded:
* A fast quad-core Intel i7 (8th Gen.) processor makes for fast processing.
* The 8GB processing memory is combined with a 512GB drive and should be plenty for most household users.
*The 2-in-1 feature provides several options for using/viewing the laptop. For anyone doing presentations, this feature is especially useful.
*The full HD touch screen produces top grade color, and the screen works just fine with a light touch.
*The back-lit keyboard, which is a must.
*Intel graphics produce excellent picture quality, be it photo or video.
*Intel Next-Gen wireless connectivity is amazing. Setting up the laptop downstairs, it connected my router (upstairs) immediately. Both my printers (upstairs) were located and operational in less than a minute for each.
*Sound quality from the speakers is very good.
*HDMI port, media reader, fingerprint reader for more security, webcam with microphone, long battery lift, etc. etc.

Setting up the 7586 is a pretty simple process. One very pleasant setup surprise was that once I activated the laptop’s Microsoft 10 license, my MS Office suite was automatically downloaded from the MS Cloud, saving a lot of time and effort. I am very pleased with the 7586 so far and look forward to getting a lot of use out of it.
There is really only one thing it doesn’t have that I would normally require on a laptop: there is no number pad. However, I plan to use the 7586 as my “desktop” to replace an older laptop serving the same purpose for a number of years. It will be paired with a wireless mouse and keyboard (with number pad), so no big deal. Also, I have another laptop that I use for portability.
As mentioned at the beginning, a Dell does come at a premium price; but, on the other hand, the 7586 has a lot under the hood!

It's good to breathe clean air...

Bissell is well known for floor cleaners of various types; and, with their getting into air purifiers, they should be come as well known for purifiers. The air400 is a great way to get acquainted with BISSELL purifiers.
While, it is not small in size, put it in the right location, set it up, let it run, and you’ll probably forget about its size. One reason is that it runs so quietly, you’ll forget it’s there. I have had a fan/purifier in my downstairs great room for some months now, so I put the air400 in my bedroom. Trying it on automatic (the default startup), I have had absolutely no noise issues of any kind. It sits there working essentially in silence. There is a silent setting, which is silent! However, because automatic is barely louder than silent, I am leaving it there.
In addition to the three power mode settings, there are also three fan speeds, and there are three time settings if you wish to set it to run for a specific period of time. In addition, there are filter change indicators to let you know when one of the filters (activated carbon, particle + pre-filter) needs attention. They filters, by the way, are very easy to get to when they need maintenance or changing. The air400 weighs in at about 23 pounds, so it’s no lightweight; but Bissell has put a hand grip on each side that makes it easy to move around, if you need to. It is well thought out machine. .
To let you know your air “condition,” there is an easy to read display on the front of the purifier. The highest quality is indicated by the lowest number 002. So far, 003 is the highest number mine has indicated, which gives me confidence that I am breathing very good quality air at night.
Bissell has created an excellent product with the air400. It is big; and, if you have very limited space, that could be an issue. On the other hand, it works so well, you might want to squeeze it in. Also, the price is pricey; however, if you get long use out of it, you will easily amortize the cost. In addition, it is Energy Star certified, which will also save your dollars.
I love the Bissell air400 and would most certainly recommend it!

Small Size, Big Power

Shark makes excellent vacuum cleaners, and I already own two different types (one on each floor). What those can’t do, like get into crevices, be used on furniture, or vacuum the car, the W1 can. And, importantly, it does a great job!
The W1 looks like it might be heavy, but it weighs in at comfortable to use 1.4 pounds. It comes with charging stand, crevice tool (with a brush that can be flipped into place where needed), and a pet brush (could be used on furniture, if you’d rather). Also, the HEPA filter and the dust cup (with non-touch operation) minimize your exposure to breathing dust during cleaning as well as emptying. For emptying, hold the W1 so that the dust cup is over your trash bin and push the dust cup button to empty it. A word of advice about emptying, be sure the cup is completely over the trash bin before pushing the empty button……….a mistake I made the first time I used it.
Do not let the small size of the W1 fool you, its suction power greatly exceeds what one might expect for a vacuum its size. The generation of that suction does make some noise, but it does not cause me discomfort.
The potential shortcoming of the W1 is battery time: projected at 10 minutes. If fully charged, however, closer to 15 minutes is possible in some situations. Also, the charging time for that short usage time is very long. Most jobs, including carpets in the car, for which I have used the W1 so far are short timeframes, so battery time hasn’t been an issue.
I was sold on the W1 the first time I used it, and that feeling continues to exist with each usage. I definitely recommend it and have already done so.

These earbuds are well designed and come in a clever case, which also can double as a charger. To charge the case, you can either plug in in via the USB port, or place on the enclosed Qi charger. Also, 3 different sizes of ear tips to ensure the buds fit properly in your ear. When you get them charged and Bluetooth connected to your smart phone or tablet, you are ready for some good listening. The sound quality is very good, and the buds are comfortable to wear.
On the other side of the equation, there are negatives:
1. There are absolutely no set up instructions that come with the device. You must login to the Rowkin website for all information as to setup and operation.
2. If you any other questions, try the FAQs. I had a question as to compatibility with Amazon Echo devices, so I sent an onsite email to inquire. Two days later, I still have no reply; so, I must presume the Ascent is not Echo compatible. Echo is my primary music source; and, via Bluetooth, it allows me to listen to music remotely on my deck either by remote speaker or earbuds. So, this is a big negative for me, and it doesn’t reflect well regarding customer service.
3. I was able to easily Bluetooth pair with my Android phone. However, in attempting to connect to my Android tablet, I found that for the pairing to be successful, I had to remove the buds from my list of Bluetooth items on my phone. Whereas, I have other wireless speakers that have been paired with more than one device, and I have no issues. To listen to whichever device I choose at a particular time, I simply pull up the speaker name in the Bluetooth setting on whichever music source I want, and it pairs. The Ascent doesn’t appear to work that way.
4. The online info says there is a charge status indicator on the carrying case. There is, but it does not work unless the case is connected with the Qi charger, which must be plugged in to a power source itself. Also, relative to charging, there is a short USB cable and a short USB adapter cable, however, there is no adaptor for plugging into an electrical outlet.
6. The rings on the buds can fall off, but, if one does, it is easily reinstalled. They are very small, so be careful with them at each use.
In summary, the Ascent Charge+ buds provide very good listening, which won’t be happening if you want to use an Echo device. Also, if you have issues trying to get set up and you can’t find an answer in the FAQs, you are apparently not going to get any other assistance.
Because of the sound quality, I would recommend it, so long as the issues were understood.

Would make a great gift

When I first took the Acer Spin 15 out of its protective packing sleeve, my first thought was, “Wow, this is gorgeous!” After firing it up and taking it for a test drive, it proved to have brains along with the beauty!
This new model CP315-1H-P8QY is a big step forward for Acer Chromebooks. It has the power and features of many quality full-size laptops, and at a very affordable price. Two of my favorite included features are: the responsive 15.6” full HD LED backlight touch screen, with great color and clarity, and the backlit keyboard. If this were a full-size, the only thing missing would be the numeric keypad, which is not even always on full-size these days.
Other key features that make the gorgeous Spin 15 a real buy are:
*4GB of RAM, 32GB hard drive, and Intel processing, providing power and speed.
*Quick conversion to tablet or tent mode, which comes in handy for presentations and/or video conferences using the built-in webcam and mic.
*Ease of carry and use due to weight of less than 5 lbs. and height of less than 1”.

Can this camera do motion tracking for People ONLY? And stay still for everything else? Or will it track every movement. I'd rather have it track people only instead of cars driving by etc.

does it connect with local networks, abc, cbs, nbc etc? How many channels or what stations maybe seen in the Frisco, TX area?
Depending on how far you are from the stations' broadcast transmitters, you should be able to receive them. The Pro 60 has a 60 mile range.
