Hidden Gem in AC/DC catalog

This is one of the more underrated AC/DC albums. It's not up to the level of their more well known classics, but is still a great fun rocking album. Probably the most "metal" the band has ever sounded.

The first Rush album is a unique listen. The debut is the only one without legendary drummer Neil Peart and it shows if you are already familiar with the band. There is no progressive rock to be found. It's straight ahead, 1970's hard rock with a heavy Zeppelin influence. No Peart written lyrics also means Geddy Lee singing about girls most of the time, which is odd to hear. Nonetheless, the album is a fun listen. Working Man is probably the most famous song off this release.

If anyone owns just one BOC album, it's probably this one. It contains their biggest hit Don't Fear the Reaper. The good news is those buying this for just that song are in for a treat. Plenty of good deep tracks that make this an enjoyable listen. The guitar work is excellent as well.
