I bought this for my parents to use for storing music since the boombox I just got them has a usb option for this device. Why I chose this one is since a flashdrive was going to be kept in the boombox usb port, I didn't want a large stick hanging off where as it likely would get broken off at some point. This is so small that could never happen with this. Its just big enough to use your fingers to grip it to pull out but you couldn't possibly ever break it off so this was totally ideal. Holds 15 gigs of data and decently affordable.

Fantastic boombox with incredible options

I was searching for a new boombox for my parents since their old one quit working. They know I am much more tech knowledgeable than them so I would get them something of decent quality. I came across this item online and was slightly deterred by the price but saw lesser prices items didn't have as good of quality reviews. The more I read about this the more great options I saw it provided that I felt would be of great benefit to my parents. Getting to the point, this boombox has 2-3 wonderful features. 1. A USB port for inserting a flashdrive with countless hours of music on so they don't have to keep changing discs all the time. 2. A recording option that allows them to rip cd's to the flashdrive. They have been adding their favorite cd's to the stick so they don't have to constantly change out cd's. This has been very valuable to them. 3. This device has 'bluetooth' so it also allows you to sync up a compatible device to stream music through the air. We haven't used that feature yet because not being tech heavy they really don't have any Bluetooth devices to use but I feel its a nice option to have added for future use.
My mother is really bad with anything tech but it has been pretty simple to get her to use the device. Recording is pretty user friendly to do, only have to push 3 buttons to rip a cd. The ONLY thing I would improve upon is the EQ. There is no eq for this boombox. You have a button for 'added bass' which is very little at that. I am huge into sound and was disappointed that I couldn't alter the eq sound in any manner, not even eq presets. I feel you must have that on any audio device, even lil mp3 players offer that. EQ options and I would have given this 5 stars. But aside from that issue this boombox has been fantastic, my parents love it, my dad tells me everyday how appreciative he is that I got them this item. Price? In their case it was money well spent.

Whats to say, its a great movie with obviously great graphics. I have only seen it once and sometimes need to see it more to get a better feel for it but so far I prefer the first movie more. But this is still a must see for any fans of this type of movie. I hope I like the next installment more.

I purchased this player for my parents after their previous player stopped working correctly. So far everything has been fine but to be fair its only been about 30 days. A much more thorough review would need about a year to see how the product holds up and having used most of the functions. My parents like to watch lots of dvds now so one nice feature is the disc resuming where it left off one a previously played disc. (Players should all have this but not all of them do). So far, so good.

I felt mixed on this at the credits. In some ways I was expecting more. As far as the action ....it had all the action in the world one could really ask for in this style of film. Its not about guns and ammo, its about vehicles and crazy vehicles doing crazy things. You can tell where they really added some coloring (especially the 'red') to the explosions. I loved to the highest degree seeing the creativity they put into making such wild vehicles. Some on monster truck tires, cars stacked upon each other, cars with 2 engines......insane. The storyline..........seemed quite simple and the dialog didn't really impress. me. I wasn't a big fan of Thunderdome but I'd say the storyline and dialog was better written and maybe more interesting than this one. But the action in Fury Road was supreme and they knew it going into it and focused on that element. I'll watch it more and let it sink in and manifest but so far I'd say its definately worth a view.

I just recently purchased an MP3 player for the first time. The one I bought was decent but I wasn't completely satisfied with it, so I bought this Sony in addition. What I like about this player that was better than my previous one is this reads folders. Very important to me because I want to have multiple folders for various playlists. Some players mix every song together so you can't separate by genres or favorites or whatever. This player has a volume leveler I guess I would call it. Its annoying when you're listening to this at work through a stereo and some songs are really loud and others quiet. This somehow levels out the volumes so they are all pretty much the same. That's very nice option. Also I believe I've noticed that when I add songs to the folders, they automatically go into alphabetical order. With my other player they would just go in last to the last spots which means I'd have to extract the entire folder, put the songs in order on my computer and then re-enter the folder into my player, which is stupid. Although I've used this player little since its new and I'm sure I'll discover more about it, so far I have no issues with this. I would definitely buy another.

This is the first MP3 player I've ever purchased. I know very little about them but wanted something I could choose individual music content. I had an older mp3 player given to me, an RCA and it drove me insane cause I couldn't use it the way I wanted. Bought a card for my phone to store music but that also was limiting me. So I finally bought this player and it does almost everything I've wanted. It lets me CHOOSE folders for different moods or genres of whatever I want. So for instance, I have a folder with 100 albums of underground artists. I have other folders for new albums just released. I have another folder with favorite songs. This is SO MUCH MORE CONVENIENT to let me choose the artists, songs playlists that I want instead of every song or artist in one huge folder. It seems so simple but so many seem to get this wrong. That was the main reason for me getting this player. It doesn't have some additional options that I would have liked in more expensive players but that why you pay the extra money then. I use this for at work and it has been a godsend. I wish I would have gotten this at least a year earlier.

If your digital photo collection is starting to take up too much space on your computer, transfer your pictures to these DVD-R discs for storage and sharing.

So I buy these to store data such as videos or pics or mp3s, almost anything of importance worth backing up on a computer and its a very cheap method. I also use these for recording old vhs movies using my dvd burner and they've become invaluable to me. If you wait for a sale on them they come out to something like 20 - 25 cents per disc. You can't get much cheaper a price to beat than that for its usage. The reason I buy the -R's is because they can record widescreen, the +R's won't.

A Cruise movie I actually like

Not being a Tom Cruise fan its been hard to get anyone else to watch it because everyone else I talk to hates Tom Cruise. So I'll say what I've been telling everyone else. Put your hatred of Cruise aside and enjoy the film for what it is. For ME....its his best role I've ever seen him play. I'm actually not embarrassed to say I like this charachter played by Tom Cruise. He isn't his normal cheesy-acting self, he is more. I don't think I recalled him doing one of his trademark smiles in here, its all stone faced and I think he finally did it right.
This film really opened up my eyes to what an investigation can really be. Just when it seems that its a shut closed case, you end up seeing how much outside the box you really have to think. Then it makes you wonder how many other cases have bene incorrectly solved. I think anyone who enjoys Alex Cross type films would like this.

capacity
what is the capacity once it is formatted?
I have not maxed it out but its advertised at 16 gb's so it should be pretty close to that. Apparently there is NO additional slot for an external memory card which is a major bummer. This is a nice product but you may either need to spend more and just get a higher internal storage player or get a SanDisk clip for cheaper and have the option of adding an external card with more gigs. I have both but I think the SanDisk comes with better earphones than the Sony.

IS SONY COMING OUT WITH A UNIT WITH MORE GB?
I'm excited about this product, but I need a player with 32 gb or even better, 64 gb. I have a large music library and would like to have most of it with me.
I can only assume with technology from week to week that capacity will continue to increase. Just look at how flash sticks grew. I remember the first flash stick I ever saw only held about a half a gig, now the latest one I purchased holds 64 gb's. And they aren't any different in physical size. My understanding from what the sales clerk told me was you can purchase an additional card to insert that will hold more gigs, I am not sure though of which exact products and what the gig limitations are per device.

What is the price?
I can't just give you a price because it will fluctuate and there will be sales. You really should copy/paste the model number and search that. If I recall, when I did purchase it the price was something like $80 but ALWAYS search out the model number for updated pricing and sales. You might find it cheaper somewhere else and BestBuy will price match. Do your homework to save.
